Just serviced my EU about a month ago. Battery died about 15 years ago. My gen is in an aluminum enclosure on my car hauler race trailer. used the pull start as I was too lazy to pull the case apart. After sitting all winter it would not start. It took me 2 hours to take the compartment apart since the torks screws stripped. My buddy serviced it, runs great now. At the time I did not know the battery was so accessible.

@@ThrottleStopRacing | it was running when I bought it but surging when eco off. I have since done some maintenance had the carb apart and checked the spark arrestor, was not bad but had a torch to it. Surging less but still some maybe just fine.

You're video is amazing! Simple and to the point. I'm wondering if you might know off the top of your head why a Honda eu2000i would start pouring fuel out of the air vent hose when it's turned on. Even without turning on, pulling the cord a few times gets fuel to come down that hose, through the little black T connector and then up the other hose to erupt from its end where it's attached to the little black bracket.

I would check the carb, and rebuild it.
@user-or1xh1vc8n24 күн бұрын
Yes I assumed it is to do with the carb, but was curious what mechanically was causing it. Maybe is the floater is normally meant to block this air vent when fuel filled the bowl? I have not learned the design yet but that's my first thought. Thank you for your advice and the very informative video

You do a great job with this video. I wish you had taken the carb out and given it a cleaning, I need the help and I trust your methods. Mine has sat for about 10 years with fuel in it without having been drained out during its last time running. I have slowly pecked away at the maintenance items you have done, but now I need to clean the carb and fuel lines before I start it up. Thank you for the video.

@papajo73164 ай бұрын
There is zero benefit from using premium fuel in these small engines. It would be better to go out and find a gas station that sells E-Zero fuel (No Ethanol) as E-Zero fuel last longer in storage.
