Josh, I said to my my wife last night while watching this video ... out of everyone I watch on KZbin, no matter the genre, you are the most personable and easy to watch without a doubt. Even when you have your pops on or your wife, you all seem so chill and not "influencer type" in any way. You don't go out of your way to dramatize things for views or push a narrative. I've been watching you for quite a few years now, and all of your videos are so organic and easy to watch. Even on a sponsored video like this. Please don't change they way you do things ... you and the family are the kind of people I feel like I could be friends with in real life. No BS at all from you guys.

I’m glad you enjoyed the Lodge. I grew up a few miles from the falls in the 70’s. I have a pretty deep connection to this area. One of my friends was the head of the remodel of the observation area, the trails and the hydro electric portion. While he was doing the remodel of the hydroelectric plant he found and cleaned out the desk of the father of another friend and returned his personal items to the son. This place area was always where we went for dates in high school.

Looked very nice. Watched every episode of Twin Peaks, never missed a one!!!! Some years ago when my folks flew to Chicago from England, we then flew out to Seattle and we came up here, on to Leavenworth (was struggling back then), I guess we went up to Helena, MO, up into BC, all the way to Jasper, down through Hells' Canyon to Vancouver and over to Victoria & Vancouver Island, Nanaimo back to Seattle on the ferry. I did used to drag them around the place - well, you know the US, you don't get very long vacations so I had to make the most of the time. Thanks guys for refreshing the memories - am a long way South now, so shan't be retracing these footsteps - was glad I did what I did when I could! Good lesson to share! Keep safe & Merry Christmas to you ALL!

When I was a kid growing up in WA, we had a pie cherry tree. Let me just tell you that there is nothing better than a cherry pie made from those cherries. That part of the world is gorgeous. But it can be insanely bone chilling cold there this t8me of year. Glad you got to go as a family. Hope pops knees are feeling better. My mom and I stayed at paradise lodge that was built around the same time. It’s not luxury like Salish Lodge. No elevator, bathrooms and shower down the hall. But sinks and beds in every room. Right next to amazing trails and probably the best view of mt rainier that there could ever be. It’s in the rainier national park. It’s not roughing it per se but it’s like stepping back in time. One of the best memories I have with my mom who is 84, soon to be 85. If you haven’t stayed in that park, I encourage you to do so

didn't know this place existed... and only 30 mins from seatac... so cool you visiting all these historic lodges now and a waterfall to go with it. Pretty cool they have kettle and pour over coffee there, every hotel should replace cheap o plastic coffee machine and put in a stainless steel pour over kettle. Way more useful, make cup of ramen, hot coffee, hot cocoa, hot tea.
