JTGemini, I hate Zac bagins, won't watch he's too quick to get hysterical and keep repeating in a loud voice what people tel him like "so your telling me you've seen a ghost" then looks at the camera and keeps repeating it, he's so dramatic and fake. I stayed there for a week for a New Year's Eve party in 1995 on the top floor. After all was done and hotel got quiet, we heard children running up and down the halls, but nothing was there. We started down the stairs to ask if there were children and suddenly heard the piano playing but the room was empty and dark. The clerk told us there were no children there and it is almost nightly that the piano plays. They say it is Mrs Stanley. Was the best time I ever had and always wanted to go back.❤❤❤❤❤

My family and I just went a couple days ago, but only did a tour and wanted to make it down the mountain before it got dark. But we do plan on actually staying at the hotel as we are out of the state. Their acoustics in the building is very loud. But the hotel definitely plays to the belief that it’s haunted. Which is smart on them I mean, I’m sure they’re making good money that being said, I don’t doubt some strange stuff that goes on there! I feel like the most, the energies around it is good… But you could definitely feel where people would have some negative energies as well… Looking back I’m a little creeped out on it but while we were there, my family and I didn’t really feel all creeped out. But again, like I said we were only there during the day. We didn’t stay there at night, and I’m sure with all the noise bouncing around on the walls, they probably come into the bedrooms pretty easily as well. However, if there’s no kids there and your kids run around, that’s a little strange!

We stayed in a rather worn suite at the Stanley. We decided to sleep with the window open, and later in the evening we could hear sounds from the lobby below us. We heard piano, laughing, talking, clinking glasses, etc. when checking out in the morning, we casually told the desk clerk there must have been a nice party last evening. He responded that there was no such party, and the lobby was empty all night.

My husband and I stayed at the Stanley in 1984. We were on the 4th floor (gotta love that you only get to use the elevator once and the rest you hike up and down the stairs). The room was much smaller than yours and there were no night stands. The whole time we were in there it felt as if someone was watching you. The beds were up high and I put my drink on the carpet next to the bed. Imagine my surprise when I went to take a drink and the glass was knocked over.

There's something about these old landmark hotels that permeate a strange otherworldly atmosphere. My mother use to work at the Chamberlain Hotel in Hampton, Virginia (now a retired living building). It's the site where Edgar Allan Poe stayed in a month before he died. The original hotel was used as a hospital in wartime, but later renovated to become a landmark hotel on the Bay. We actually lived there for a month while getting prepared to move overseas to Scotland. Incredibly creepy vibes as a child. You could feel the presence of history within its walls (and spirits, maybe). I'm a bit of a skeptic, but that place definitely had me on the fence of my skepticism. Moreso than when I visited Winchester Mystery House.

I live here in Hampton... going on 30+ years now. Chamberlain Hotel has been converted to a Senior Living Community (around 10+ years ago)! It's no longer a hotel :-( I remember going there to visit a great, great aunt before she passed... and walking in the hallways and going down in the exercise room I would get these creepy vibes.

I have a friend who worked as a ghost tour guide for a number of years at the Stanley and guests would send her copies of any interesting photos they got while on tour with her and there frequently was a little girl image near her. Always blurry, always the same little girl with braids, around six or seven years old. Your next haunted hotel should be the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It’s gorgeous and has a great story behind it. Should make for a great video.

We took our kids to The Stanley hotel when they were small, circa 2013 - just visiting for fun, sort of roaming around with the kids. We were newlyweds with a blended family - so maybe the four kids caught his attention... This manager dude approached us and just started to talk to me and my wife. We chatted for about 5 min, and then he was like "You guys want a tour?" then proceeding to give us our own personal tour of the place. He even let us into some closed off areas, and even left us alone in this banquet area at he end, It was pretty awesome. Showed us the "caves" just a tunnel where workers can pass through to the kitchen.

My daughters and I stayed at the Stanley and we had so much fun! A few things happened, got a voice saying “hi” on video and a mysterious man in a full tux with tails at the end of a hallway in a photo. Also the sheet was pulled off of me in the middle of the night. I was awake reading a book, laying on my side facing the wall when the sheet was jerked off of me, I turned over to see what was happening and my daughter was laying on the other bed frozen with her eyes as big as saucers staring at me. I said “did you see that?” And she slowly nodded her head yes. That was the spookiest thing that happened. So much fun!

I just binge watching some of your videos and from all of those videos, 1 thing that stood out the most for me is that you're respectful whenever you go to new places. U didn't say something offensive and just stated facts and you have good mannerism, and that can be 1 of the reason that ghost, spirit or whatever you want to call it doesn't disturb you. Contrary to what people might believe, ghost, spirits or whatever u want to call it, doesn't just go around and shows themselves to human or make their presence know to anyone that visit the places that they claim to be theirs. You have to do something to attrack them. It's either you being disrespectful, you have bad motives that will disturb them, your life or what you went through remind them of what they experience or you are gifted with the ability to see them. And I'm also glad that you didn't overreact in all your videos and instead try to find logical explanation 1st (I'm so tired watching other paranormal activity KZbin where most of them overreact or clearly making something up), I applaud you for that. And believe me, you ABSOLUTELY don't want them to show themselves to you lol. Good luck in your next adventure. God bless.

We went there last summer! The tour guide told us that Jim Carrey stayed in the Stephen king room (when they were filming dumb and dumber) and he left two hours later to go to the holiday inn because he felt so creeped out. Apparently Elizabeth (the lady ghost) isn’t fond of unmarried people sharing a bed. Jim Carey had a waitress in there with him and that’s why he left because he felt a presence there. The tour guide also told us that unmarried couples (she knows if you’re wearing a ring) who sleep there together feel a presence pushing them apart from each other in the bed.

I love paranormal stories and have stayed at some of the “most haunted” locations including the Stanley, but I don’t follow ANY other KZbinrs. You are the ONLY ONE that doesn’t dramatize anything. You tell what you see and THAT’S fun!

I had worked at the Merchant house museum in NYC for 10 years. The house is definitely haunted. I experienced a lot there. Most people don't realize that majority of people are not going to experience paranormal activity in a haunted location. There were times when months would go by and I didn't experienced anything. I love this video because it shows the reality of paranormal investigation. He may go back and experience something. We can't expect to experience something all the time. I'm in love with his hair!! 😊

I'm from Boulder and I've been going to the Stanley my whole life. I've went up there ghost hunting many times. Place is definitely haunted. Next time you go stand outside of the concert hall at like 3:00 in the morning and you can hear an entire concert going on then you open the doors and nothing. Smells of rose water will all of a sudden hit you in the hallways, we've had some amazing things....doors slamming all kinds of stuff and most importantly we heard A woman's voice down in the underground tunnels because we snuck in and clear as day it sounded almost like a child it was so creepy we all went running.

Nice vibe. You created a good ambience in your room. I worked at a five star hotel in London during the lockdown when the hotel was shut. The warm glow from the traditional lamps in the creepy corridor also reminded me of Stephen Kings 'Shining' movie. You're right getting scared is fun but I thinks it's more than that because it also helps us get rid of other fears and anxieties from our life when the oxytocin chemical lowers the adrenaline rush as though it cleanses our mind. It's a bit like how you felt when you woke up from that refreshing sleep which you didn't have for a long time. I love old horror movies from days when movies were real movies. In case you're wondering I am a European born national. I was born in Brugge, Belgium in 1975.

The foundation was actually designed to shift because the ground frequently moves there, which I think many sounds could be related to. Also supposedly the Stanley is haunted because people love it there so much so want to come back to visit. I certainly enjoyed visiting when I was passing through and got to take the day tour. At that time some floors were off limits due to construction when they were working on them. Even though I had to stay the night at a different hotel, it was still a breathtaking experience!

Not sure who told you that. The foundation is anchored solidly into the bedrock. I have seen it. And the ground does not move. This is not earthquake country.

I had an old post card of the Stanley Hotel. I can't remember where I bought it, I live in Fresno California, and I likely bought it in a thrift store or antique shop. A pen pal I was writing to, lived near that hotel, and the guy she was staying with worked as an accountant at the Stanley. I sent her the post card of the Stanley, and she appreciated it. I think it's wild that you've got this video on that hotel.

217 is the address of my childhood home that was haunted. The house was my great-grandmother's house, I lived there off and on as a child growing up with my mother and siblings. It was a morgue in the 1800s and had a door on the side of the house that led directly to the basement. That is where the bodies were brought into the basement for storage. There were cement slabs coming from the walls, where they would put the bodies. When I was a child, I would hear and see some scary shi@ while I and my family slept upstairs. Now, the upstairs was pretty small. There was a very long, narrow wooden staircase that led to the upstairs, a small landing, then 2 doors that led to 2 bedrooms. The large bedroom had 3 beds in it. Me, my sister, my mom, and my brother all slept in this one room. I and my siblings were small, so it wasn't as bad as it sounds. My grandmother and great-grandmother slept in the other room. In the middle of the night, there was the sound of loud boots stomping up the stairs. The sound echoed through both rooms. Then, I could hear the footsteps right outside our door....then 3 loud knocks on our door. My mom yelled who is there? No answer. Mom asked again, with no answer. I then heard the loud boots stomping down the stairs. My mom went and checked, but there was nobody downstairs. We were really scared, so my great-grandma started to stay in the room with us. The footsteps and knocking happened 3 times, on the 3rd time, my great-grandmother grabbed her crucifix, flung open the door, and said, "Go away in the name of Jesus!" I saw a black shadow run down the stairs! It was really scary and will never forget it.

Sorry to be the voice of reason, but nothing happened to King when he and his wife stayed there. They stayed on the last night before the hotel closed for the winter, so they were alone. He was just inspired by the atmosphere. He had nightmares all his life but didn't have a nightmare about fire hoses coming to life. He just thought it would be a cool image. What's funny is the hotel didn't become "haunted " until after the success of King's novel. The Kubrick film was shot at Timberline Lodge, Mount Hood OR. The 1997 TV remake, with Steven Weber, was shot at the Stanley.
