Same, feel like they are getting influenced by crowd too much in a sense that they want to get a laugh out of the crowd. So instead of previously light hearted but “educational” episodes where you can learn what you might have missed or some unknown lore these turned into stand up roasting sessions of the chapter.

I would love it if these chapters also got an in studio version. Personally, I don’t like the audience interruptions, it takes away from the chemistry J and Ben have. It’s also annoying because I can’t tell what the audience members are saying, so it’s difficult to keep my attention on the video, when I can’t follow the conversation. The previous live shows were better, as the audience didn’t really interrupt the conversation, but just added a few things (I would still like a studio version of those episodes though). Doing a live show is great, and I’m sure J, Ben and the live audience love it, but as a viewer it’s quite annoying. I think the tour should be something that is added to the channel, but after a studio version. That way, you can have a great live experience and the audience members who can’t attend will still get the same high quality as always (I know this isn’t a perfect solution as it would take a long time, but I hope you consider it anyways). I would love to attend one of these shows one day, but unless you do a tour in Europe, it won’t happen (9 hours flight each way, not to mention the cost, is simply too much). Perfectly said. I want the audience, and J and Ben, to get to have this fun...but it's really a lot less fun for the rest of us. I definitely prefer the studio episodes (I always skip live podcast episodes, but since these are part of a series where you miss out entire chapters if you skip an episode, it's harder to just not engage). I know it's more work and I can understand them not wanting to rerecord these, but man I'd love to have regular episodes of them.

@@vanessaultimo1926 there's a whole ass Q&A after they do the podcast part. They could and should save it for then. And that logic makes no sense... why see a live comedian? Why see a live band? The audience members who "participate" in those live performances are hecklers and stage crashers, and they are usually met with ridicule or are removed altogether. In the prior stops on this tour, there was a little bit of crowd involvement, which was fine in moderation. But it's like this crowd saw that people interacted a bit in the earlier ones and took it as permission to yell something every time Ben and J speak a sentence. This crowd is not okay.

Well in my opinion there can be no harm if Harry puts on a bunch of weight since he is always discribed as kind of skinny. Turing there first Qudditch game in the rain storm he even thinks he is at a disadvantage compared to Cerdric who is taller and stronger and therefore won't be blown of course that easily.

Yeah, I try not to be a hater and while I've never been a fan of listening to live stuff, the first couple ones weren't so bad, but this crowd derailed the vibe completely. I get that they're having fun but it's harder for the rest of us to enjoy. It's not like I'm gonna quit watching or anything, but I'm definitely finding I prefer the studio episodes. And I'm a little bummed my favorite book is getting the live treatment...and that there will be more tours lol

The footrests were added because it hurt the actors to be on the brooms for filming without them lol, same with the bicycle seats. There was a medieval torture device called the horse, which can be just a stick like a broom. I am sure the poor actors understand how effective it was.

I went to this show, was super excited to see them live but honestly the crowd engagement really killed it for me. Just wanted to see some of my favorite KZbinrs do their thing but there were several people that thought they were onstage and kind of threw J and Ben off in my opinion. Love SCB and its community, but wish this would’ve been more like the other live shows.

On the topic of Peter's potential Obscurus: Remember that these only form when you're actively suppressing your magic, not just when you're not using it. Very important difference. Pretty sure you two did a video ages ago on why Harry didn't develop one living with the Dursleys, and that was ultimately the reason. He was shamed for being magical, but he didn't KNOW that's why they were shaming him, so it didn't cause him to suppress his magic, and thus no Obscurus.

I thought the live versions would be not nice to listen to but I have to say it is a very pleasent surprise instead. Maybe I'm just being picky, but I like the studio recordings a lot more. Its not just the crowd butting in at random points, its the fact that there is a time limit (or so it seems). I would think that if this episode was in the studio, it might of been like 1 and a half to 1 hour and 45 minutes long, but because they are live, they have to cut it short and make the discussion and rambling less a part of the show and make the show more explaining the chapters. Honestly, I'm excited for the show to be recorded in the studio again, and a bit annoyed there is another live show in a few months.

This sentiment seems to be shared by many online viewers, but I feel compelled to add my own comment. As someone watching from the UK, I find these live shows quite difficult to watch and listen to. It's especially disheartening because "Prisoner" is my favorite book. I find myself not wanting to watch these episodes. If it were possible I would love a studio version even if it was more of a recap to the live episode.

It says Harry never asks the price of the Firebolt, so we don't know how much it costs, and Harry might not have a realistic grasp of how much money he actually have, how much he would need for the rest of his school years or that it keeps adding. As for Sirius buying one, we know he got a lot of money from one of his ancestors. I think he says he used the gold to move out of Grimauld Place/The Potters, but it doesn't say he used all of it for his own place, and being the last heir of his line everything that his parents and brother might have had would probably have been added automatically to his vault, and assuming Gringotts operate like normal banks he would have 12 years of accumulated interest on an already sizable amount, while also not having spent any gold at all while in prison, so I don't think financing the broom is the main problem. I do however question the possibility of sending a cat with an order form to buy an expensive racing broom, and the fact that he could just write on the order form to take the money from his vault but send it to Harry with no extra security to make sure no-one tries to use someone else's money, and also the fact that the government haven't frozen or re-possessed all assets of a man sitting out a life time sentence in prison, doubly so seeing as he has escaped, if he can't get at his gold, or at least if his bank account activities are being monitored, there is only so much he can do without being found out.

Gringotts is run by goblins, who are neutral in wizarding affairs. So I imagine the Ministry can't actually freeze someone's assets or monitor a bank account without the goblins' permission. Also, Crookshanks took the order form to the post office. So it probably was dropped into the box of outgoing mail and then an employee sent it out with a post owl to Quality Quidditch Supplies.

The Footrests being unaerodynamic isn't an issue because _the Riders Feet are aerodynamically worse_ so sacrificing a little bit to ensure the Feet stay in an optimal position is worth it

Exactly! Dangly legs will get in the way more than supported ones. Also! The foot rests can act as controls when flying one handed. ALSO also! Think about rider comfort. We put stirups on saddles because they let our legs act like shock absorbers and weight bearers. Sitting DIRRECTLY on a narrow broomstick with our "inbetween parts" taking all of our weight would ruin the rider.

@@sethkeown5965 yea think about how in mountain biking even while not using the pedals to accelerate while going downhill the rider stands on the pedals in an athletic position to absorb energy and to redirect their vehicle quickly I expect at least the weight shifting aspect would translate into a three dimensional vehicle movement sport like Quidditch

With respect to Harry being by himself, I think Fudge made arrangements that everyone would keep an eye on him. THe ice cream vendor use to be a powerful aurora I believe. Hence, Harry had more protection than people realize. Also, using dementors to patrol a boundary is not the same as using them in a populated city.

That's pretty much my thought, yeah. Whether on Dumbledore's direct orders, or indirect "I think Dumbledore would approve", or his own personal judgement, it's VERY reasonable to expect that Fortescue is baiting Harry to keep him close by so he can be watched and kept safe. Basically all the adults in the know are sneakily keeping an eye on Harry before he gets to school this summer.

I can't wait for the live shows to end. Audio sucks and the interruptions from the audience is really annoying. It's a cool concept but honestly it's not as good for the online listeners (the majority of the viewer base) as it is for the people who went to the shows.

I think the Ministry isn’t as concerned about the Diagonal Alley is because there are always a lot of Wizards surrounding Harry, while Hogwarts is simply too big to have Harry be surrounded by adult wizards all the time without Harry taking notice. Also I do like the thought, that the ministry has send out some of their staff to guard Harry undercover all day, Harry wouldn’t recognize them, because he doesn’t know them yet. Additionally it would not be appreciated by the wizarding community if they were surrounded by the Dementors all the time, especially the store owners if all their customers have their happiness sucked out of them all the time. That also would explain why Arthur thinks the Dementors will find Sirius first and not the aurors even though the whole Ministry is searching for him.

35:10 In high school we had a LOT of people take Spanish class and they were native spanish speakers! LOL They figured it'd be an easy A, but a lot of them didnt do great when it came to the correct grammar and stuff. SO, theres still stuff to learn! I had to take English as a foreign language classes after having gone to school in English for 6 years. I did the classes out of order and did my matriculation exam (comparable to SATs as the big exams that affect college applications) earlier than my classmates just to see how the exams are. I also had to take English as a foreign language at uni and even our higher level group got a handout and had to name shapes, like circle, square, rectangle, triangle and the hard one was either a pentagon or hexagon.

Heyyyy brothers! I'm a huge fan listening in from Qatar and I just wanted to say I love how in depth you go when doing these episodes. I thought of a question yesterday and I thought you might know: *Could a person's animagus form change?* I don't think it was ever stated if the witch or wizard chooses what their animagus form looks like but they often look like their patronus which can change as seen with Tonks in HBP. So if a person was an animagus would the animal change at the same time as the patronus? Love your channels. Keep up the good work.

If they did both, they'd make more, so it's seems a very odd choice to just continue to push something the majority of the online audience actively dislike. I've turned of notifications on this because I'm just not going to watch anything live from them and it seems to be all they're doing now.

To each their own, but consider the added work time on SCB recording something they already did. These guys do plenty enough already.
