Looks GUD and very easy to make! As someone who loves pickles, I think I'll have to make that on one of these cold nights. I've never been to Poland, but I have tried bigos or hunter's stew as they call it here and loved it. It was the perfect comfort food

Yes, this was a very easy soup to make. As I understand it, traditionally it’s made with no kielbasa. It’s just a comforting vegetable soup. But I have to tell you, that smoked sausage really added a nice element to it.

Looks like a HOMERUN RECIPE Rob!!

Thank you! I thought it was a Homerun as well. Definitely an A on the grading scale.

You know what would go great with that? Some Slawsa! My favorite youtuber told me about the stuff and I think it would fit well here!

Ok… I think I’ll need to try that. Thanks for the tip.

That cream mix bowl looks nice and rigid, not floppy at all. I also like how the thickener brought it all together, really made it soup. It definitely made me hungry for a late lunch!

Yes, I really liked that thickener also.. I never used sour cream, flour and cream before. It worked very well. I don’t believe I own any floppy bowls. Not sure I would have a use for them.

I know a lot of folks aren’t fans of pickles, but this is one recipe where the tanginess of pickles and pickle juice can benefit the vegetables and add onto the onion flavor, as well as that homemade kielbasa bringing some smokiness and texture. It looks so delicious! Well done once again, Rob!

Thank you. Yes, in this case the pickle and juice really did add to this. I’m one of those that don’t love pickles, but it really worked in this soup.

Wow I love pickles! I’ll have to try this. Thanks for throwing it on again today!

I like pickles, but I never thought I liked them enough to make soup out of them. But, I have to tell you, this turned out pretty good.

Yet another recipe it looks like I'll have to try. This sounds so good, I can't wait. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend, both of you.

Pickles, mayonnaise, dill - definitely a Polish recipe 😂 Looks great and I love the kielbasa!

As I’ve mentioned before. That kielbasa really did add a nice element to the soup. I’m happy I tried making it and I know I will be making it again.

Always ready to try pickles! Not quite a pickle soup but I just had a Korean soup with a white kimchee base that falls into a similar category of soup with flavor profile that is wholly new to me. Will have to try making this sometime.

I’m guessing you are going to like it. I’m not a real big pickle fan… About the only time I eat them is if they are wrapped in a layer of cream cheese and ham sandwich meat. (also known as Wisconsin Sushi). Let me know if you try it and how you like it.

Americans don't eat any sour soups but they are more common in other parts of the world. Another one to check out is Romanian ciorba.

Yes, I realized that when I started making this. I don’t think I’ve ever had a sour soup before. That’s why I actually cut back a little bit on the pickle juice. I’m glad I did because it gave me a bit of sourness, but it wasn’t overwhelming. I very much enjoyed the flavor of the soup.

Soup looks great, Rob! Definitely one to try. Speaking of unusual pickle foods, have you tried a pickle pizza? I hear tell they're popular in the midwest.
@RobMilanowski5 ай бұрын
I’m sorry to say I’ve never had pickle pizza and Patti (my wife) says that sounds gross. I’ve had pickled jalapeños on my pizza, but never pickled cucumbers.
@palinironthumb85225 ай бұрын
Depending on your definition of soup or stew, I think this is more of a thinner stew. I've only ever had cold cucumber soup. Thanks for the entertainment :)

Thanks for the info.

Basically, a soup is smooth, a stew is chunky. I am not qualified to comment anyway :P
