Lol U is actually from 2006..I remember at that time KZbin was like 2-3 years old. And the SM(the company) didn't had a KZbin channel yet..but many fans of kpop uploaded random kpop videos including super juniors, which got thousands of views. SM made their KZbin channel a little later and uploaded all their videos. Had they done it from the start the views would be much higher.

"Back then kpop was more open" YESSSSSSSSS. That's one of the reasons older kpop fans call it "The golden age of kpop". So many new kpop fans don't know, but in certain ways it was more open, very experimental music wise, and unique. People like me who liked kpop for so many years now miss those things. Also Idols and Hosts use to be more open and talk about certain topics like dating etc..but idols nowadays are painted in an almost robotic way..it's sad, and all for the crazy fangirls.Nowadays fans can get so invasive and butthurt over anything. I feel bad for the idols..back then idols from different groups could make fun of each other or roast each other as a joke..but if they try to pull that nowadays, fandoms will probably go crazy.

12 years ago...that was the first time I search "Super Junior" on my cousin's computer..she loves TVXQ so she had a "show me your love" poster... I was like y there is so many people in this group 😂she was like" oh that's TVXQ and Super Junior, Super Junior has 12 members on this poster, but they actually have 13 members now..😂I was like "wattttttttt!!!!! Let me see so I typed "Super Junior" and "U" came up... I be came a E.L.F. right away 😆😆😆😆😆 I literally grow up with Suju and see them grow up with me.💙💙💙💙💙

2PM, well not all K-pop MV were like that... I feel like it was just 2PM, this was the same year Replay from SHINee was released (same from Not young for U-Kiss... lol not the same thing, I'm a U-Kiss fan but even the members are still cringing at their debut song... It was really on the cute side)... 2PM were seen as the "perverted" young men back then (they had a reality program and some of their discussions were more in the rated r area, they were drinking and going into club, perfectly normal for young adults like them, they are nearly all older than me btw). But I really loved their early days, actually I was "staning" them till their debut in Japan. After that their music style just didn't fit my preferences anymore, but they did make some songs I like till now. It's just that I'm not staning anymore. For Super Junior, it's really one of the group where I know I can't stand, but I always like their music. U is such a good song. They have a lot of good songs like this really, I don't know why I never stanned them when I really love the members of this group and the songs (actually it seems like I need some sort of miracles or all the starts aligned to really stan a group at this point, it's really rare for me). Really when I think about it, I understand why the 3rd generation of K-pop was inspired by them (Super junior/2pm, groups from that period). The fact that most of their songs are still well known and loved is already something meaningful.
