It remains a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT when considering OUR history on TV, and it was for us, by us, recognized by us, and shows that even though we HAD a black president, there's still more of US that have work to do! When Hispanics became the majority in the 2010 US Census some people FLIPPED OUT and forms changed, dividing an ethnicity that when FUNDAMENTALLY aware of their history, never considered themselves anything but LATINO, regardless of color, United by language and traditions. That's why they PUSH to keep it, because THEY KNOW, what happened to US! #EmbraceHeritage Now, the new forms read to the person completing it, (regardless of what you put on there when returned), as follows: "Select black Latino if person is of color, otherwise mark it as white" 🙀! SMH. Not everyone, white, black, and ESPECIALLY Latino agrees with this, but no one is changing it....yet! Again, work left for US and all to do! This country has been built on color, divided by color, and repressed still because of color. We need a new revolution and that also starts with "US" and the rest of them unafraid to stand up, White, Black, Latino, Asian, Indian, Arabic, Immigrants, we all want the same thing, to be free! #wethepeople

I really loved the throwbacks that they displayed for all the nominees and their reactions. I love how they highlighted all the different backgrounds of the Living Single ladies too. Erika Alexander has a theatre background with classical training and is the thespian of the group; Kim Fields had the most screen experience starting out as a child star and transitioning into an adult one; Kim Coles was a comedian and a natural in front of an audience; and Queen Latifah...no description needed as we all know who Queen Latifah is.

I was a 12/13 year old white kid, and I watched Martin and Living Single all the time. The Living Single theme song popped into my head today, looked it up, and got to this video somehow. I miss Sinbad movies, I miss television comedies from the '90s like you wouldn't believe. I love this video, how they show clips of them as kids during their nominations. It's so adorable.
