My daughter had hip dysplasia too and you're right about threading the diaper through the harness. It's good practice for later, when you're threading the diaper through flailing toddler octopus limbs.

I had the same experience c-section and my daughter has hip dysplasia too, shes 18 now doing great and embraces her quirkiness.

This happened with my baby sister, but this was back in 1981. So the poor thing was in the hospital for months, unable to come home. IMO, it did affect her. psychologically, but not in any life-ruining way.

I had placenta prevea with my second just a few weeks ago. Almost died from that and had to have a hysterectomy. Fun times.
