I am here for the realness of this. Thank you for the most unfiltered look at the crazy amount of work that can go into a dinner party and just carrying the cooking load.

This video was so real. I feel like a lot of us (myself included) think your life just so fun and fulfilling all the time, making all this delicious food in beautiful places. But the frustration when you're working SO HARD at something and it's not going the way you envisioned is incredibly relatable. If you work this hard at a dinner party with your friends, I can only imagine how amazing the cookbook will be!! Keep doing you!!

Yes. Yes Miss Meredith. Premium content. Because there is nothing better than witnessing someone TRY… PUT IN EFFORT. Whether it turns out perfectly or not, watching someone try their very best is ALWAYS amazing. Thank you for this needed reminder… and cook on! We can’t wait for what comes next!💕P.S. I’m quite sure the meal still tasted great!

thank you!!! I’m glad to know we can all learn from my mistakes and laugh 🫶

These are learning moments for us all. And I love your transparency because people don’t post the reality that not all meals are perfect. When I try a new recipe and add my spin it’s not always the best…but such is the way of life 😌 remember don’t be too hard on yourself
@catalinasanint85407 ай бұрын
as a fellow cook, I hear you and feel you with the frustration (albeit, I do not have the added pressure of posting online). But as a viewer, I LOVE THE REALNESS!! including that there were tears, wanting nobody to talk to you while you try to figure out something in the kitchen, and forgetting to make dessert. A+ on your content, always.

I relate to this SO MUCH. And to this I say, please give yourself grace. This IS a huge learning experience for you and for us. It shows us it will not always be perfect. Sometimes you do have to start over. I just did a whole “dinner party” for my dad when I flew over to him, while simultaneously cleaning his kitchen, and I ended up over salting everything because I stupidly didnt realize one of his seasonings had salt as the first ingredient!! Soooo I definitely feel you in that moment of literally about to cry and scream after working so hard!! But we are human. Thank you for showing this vulnerability, you are my FAVORITE ❤

Wegman's started in my home town so I am forever a fan of it! The ones in Rochester, NY def have bounty and big name brand items. Haven't been to the one in NYC yet - but visiting next weekend so I will probably go! Weggies for life
@carolinesouthard92956 ай бұрын
Same here! I was like wow that must be a shelf space issue - if there's only so much space in a small, city, vertically-oriented store, of course they're prioritizing their own brands for margins. A suburban Wegmans experience would change her mind 😎

What a cute rental location. So happy that those long, hard summers of private-cheffing have afforded you this new opportunity to enter your own Barefoot Contessa era. Hard work DOES pay off. The food looked off the charts delicious. You truly work with ingredients within reach for many of us and this makes your cooking even more appealing to me. I get so many compliments on your recipes, especially the tomato galette. Can't wait to see more episodes from this fabulous rental. Have fun, dear Meredith!

fun fact: in Brazil we call that Swiss Lemonade and that is not our “default” method. It gets very bitter if you don’t cut that little white membrane thingy of the limes. To do that: quart the limes lengthwise (?) and cut the white corner in each wedge and then blend and strain. It does not keep so it’s better done right before serving/consuming. Hope you try it again! 🫶

as a Brazilian- you should’ve added wayyy more sugar (that’s why the condensed milk is a must) and consume the lime juice right away. if you don’t want it to be bitter, remove the peel.

New Englander here. Used to live in MA 15 min north of Boston. Moved to NH, currently work in MA. Grocery stores. Hannaford. Hands down. Great produce, bread, meats. Amazing. And they bring in a,lot of local farmers. And everyone loves a good market basket shopping trip if you’re from NE. But their produce doesn’t last long. And also there’s only 1 wegmans near my work in Burlington and they have bounty haha not sure what NY wegmans are doing lol. But wegmans fruit is fresh as hell

I have to say you are one of my favorite food bloggers/influencers/chefs like up there with Ina Garten and she’s been my favorite for forever. However, I love your content a little more because you are so relatable. I am an aspiring chef and there are days that I cook for the family I work for and I feel so insecure about my food and my talent and it brings me comfort knowing that even the best of the best have those days and that the food is still delicious even if it’s not exactly the way we want it to turn out. Please give us all the raw/unhinged/real content!!!
