I'm looking forward to watching another pond being created. (that's what this channel does for me.) I've done all the digging and building that I've desired in my 87 years. Now, I can watch Chris do it!

Chris, with addition of the pond will that help with fire insurance cost? Or do you have large water supply lines in your area. Great video.

There are a lot of pond type features being built in my area now as they try to slow down runoff into storm sewers. They call them detention ponds. They provide an area for water to stand and slowly run off or settle into the ground. Flow is restricted to a 6 inch pipe. The ponds are in sandy soil so the water returns to the ground to maintain the water table and the streets aren't flooded by storms.

"I'm gonna cut it out (the core trench) to make sure" because you can't do a half assed job. Whereas someone not as ethical as you would just dig a hole in the ground and leave it, you have to do it the correct way and I love it. I loved watching you remove those brambles, thinking back to the times you & Geoff got shredded by them. At least you don't have to remove all of them. I do hope we get to see you & Justin working together. Thanks for sharing this, Chris.

I still think having Chris call out each move on both hands as he is doing them would throw a wrench in the works. He doesn't even think about what his hands are doing, it's just dig, turn to there, dump, wash rinse repeat.

Joe, you should think about picking yourself up a 20’ container, preferably one that opens on each end. You could wrap & store the bundles under cover @ your Woodyard along with your wrapper. Park it down by your Axis machine & make them & store them till you need. You could bundle at one end store @ the other end & open your back door when you want to load up for delivery. You wouldn’tneed electricity just get yourself one of the rechargeable type generators. There is an old saying, sometimes you got to spend some money to make money. I love your videos. I like how you are always looking down the road before you do something. Planning is everything. I wish I lived closer, I would love to help you in the Woodyard. Maybe someday you’ll return to the logging show in Bangor Me & I’ll go to say hi. 👍Have a great day. Dave D. from Southern Maine.

Yes, storm water management - it's not called "another Geoff Pond". Four-way Francine will need a pressure washing after playing in the wet weedy mess. I bet you never thought you would get caught from your own 'pit trap'. Sound is doing good today. The 330 will have that hole roughed in a few days.

Thank you for putting up the drone footage first then going through the explanation. That really put a finer point on what you do but it also illustrated just how much we enjoy your narration on that. I’m impressed with how this is turning out. 👍 The 330 takes between 20-50% more time than your 220 to cycle between putting your teeth back into the dirt…based upon my “1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi” official gauge😬. The delta between 20-50 seems to be because you have extra dirt scratching steps in order to “tee up” full(er) buckets on the 330. If that is the case, you will likely bring the high end down to 35 or 40 through subconscious efficiency as you get more hours in the seat.

That is going to be a sweet little pond. Question just came to my mind, with a pond on site near buildings, will that have any effect on the home owner insurance as far as fire protection goes, I mean if there was a fire, the pond in close proximity would mean they could just use a pumper truck and not have haul water, just a thought,I really don’t know how that would work. You’re making good progress sir, thanks for the update, appreciate the video.

We called it rotten gumbo mud because it smelled so bad.

@letsdig18 if you have difficulties grading with the trackloader i can offer some advice - my neighbar lent me his trackloader a Drott IH to fix tractor paths after we had problems gradeing and scraping level we got a rotator plate from a big 5 ton capacity forklift and welded it to fit the rear of the bucket , transplanting the bucket ears with a backplate to the rotator , added a solenoid electric valve and added a flip switch to the bucket controll stick - now he can side dump and tilt like with a dozer - its great for tractor paths since its slimmer than most newer dozers with 7 ft width wise and way cheaper than a new skid steer with a tilting grading bucket or grader attachment
