I have been decluttering for a month now . Everyday a bit by bit as I'm still maintaining my daily chores. I too have let go alot of new items that I've never used . I can't believe how much I've spent of just plastic containers of all sizes lol as I have many crystals too . Thank you for your videos they helped me rethink and let go of other items . Everything holds energy so decluttering and getting rid of old helps new energy flow . You did an amazing job 👍👍❤️👍👍♥️♥️♥️💯

How amazing….l have moved a lot and have 3 children…I have found the best way to store our precious things ie Christmas, kids keepsakes etc etc are in the same size bins. You’ll be amazed how much more you can fit onto a shelf. I sold a lot of our existing tubs and used that cash to buy the new ones. I also found having a solid colour meant that I wasn’t overwhelmed by all the “stuff” inside the bins.

You were asking about what to do with the larger shelving unit as your kids outgrow their toys. I say move the books and puzzles, and maybe games over there, and also set up a large table and get art supplies and turn it into a place where they can do arts and crafts. Maybe put down something to protect your carpet from glue and paint.

Good luck with your declutting. And yes, continue to declutter every 6 months. It helps so you know how much you have and what you need to get rid of. Only at the start of the video & I watched while finishing up my nightly closing duties, & am about to cross stitch while probably watching more (or might save the rest for when I'm cleaning tomorrow haha) But absolutely yes to just donating/getting rid of the stuff asap! I had like 2 big bags of clothes to donate that have been sitting in my wardrobe anyway bc I just haven't been able to go do it the last couple months & when I was able to, I'd forget about it bc it was tucked out of the way, out of sight, out of mind. But I sorted out multiple bags of baby clothes that both my boys have outgrown now, and my mum visited the next day & offered to take them in since she knew exactly where to take the donations (& I'm still unsure in this town where I'm supposed to do that lol) and she has a car & her license, and I don't have my license. I was going to say "no don't worry about it, don't trouble yourself, I'll get (partners name) to do it soon" as I usually would but then was like... Nope! This gets it out of my house & she goes into town frequently anyway, she's offered and WANTS to help me, and this is helping me tremendously. So I said yes, & she put them in her car right then. It's only a small part out of everything in this house that needs to be decluttered & donated, but gosh it is such a weight off to know that those items in particular are just out of here & I don't have to move them around while I clean or sort through other stuff.

Hi, I hope you’re all well! For the shelves in the playroom, I think you could move the kids’ board games there. It’d clear space in the closet, and you can separate the ones that Quinn can’t play yet by having them in different cubbies. Yesterday I decided to have tea and toast with jam, and watch the Princess Diaries. While I was watching this video I was thinking that I’m sure Rowan especially would love the movies. Have you played them for them?

Considering the sheer volume of what you've decluttered, no donation center would've kept all of it anyways, so don't be too sad about tossing a lot of things. Unfortunately, many of these centers and thrift shops throw out a lot of what they get because the amount of stuff that they receive is completely disproportional to their storage and re-selling capacities. It's sad, I know, but sadly the reality most of the times. It should remind us that "simply donating if you don't like it" isn't an excuse for overconsumption, and that we should always be mindful of what we buy because most of it is going to end up in a landfill. A big declutter like this should be a once in a lifetime thing, not something to do every five or ten years.

@31:15 ... yup, when I clean stuff out with my mom sometimes (sometimes helping with her stuff, sometimes she helps with my stuff) there are tons of things that she just automatically says "donate" to just because she doesn't want them which are just ... STRAIGHT crap. Like .. not just REGULAR crap/trinkets/gently clothes that someone really might buy or use. Just complete and total crap or kind of useless or broken. Stuff that I actually think is offensive for first) someone who works at the donation center to even have to go through and worse second) to think that another human is "deserving" of it, even if they get it for 25 cents or even for free. Like to the point where, to me, it feels degrading toward whatever stranger might be offered the object for their own. If that makes sense?? ... I'm like, no, mom, that is just trash. Please don't offer that to another human. There are def still other things which are kind of crappy but def still useable somehow, and those things I do always try to donate. Also, I really like how much you talk in this video. Of course you can't talk the entire time, but when there's almost no talking and all music, then it is not as motivating for me in the background. I like hearing someone else talk out loud about their cleaning and decluttering while I do mine because it kind of forces my mind to think about the same stuff in the moment I'm trying to clean. As if it's my own thoughts keeping me going in my cleaning. @43:20 😂😂😂🤡👀
