That was a ringtail porgy you caught. They are actually pretty good table fair. As far as the sheepshead...I wouldn't soak it in buttermilk. Thats usually for fish that aren't normally good to eat taste wise (bluefish, etc.). Sheepshead is great sashimi/sushi, and great just blackened and broiled or grilled. As soon as its flakey with a fork, give it 2 more mins for some slight char on the tips and its good to go. Love the videos, solo trips, and collaborations.
@BeardedBrad922 жыл бұрын
Ya only reason I soaked it was because I couldn’t eat it the same day, but I don’t think I needed to do it either

@@BeardedBrad92 I am big into bleeding my fish at their gills in a bucket of saltwater, as soon as I catch them. I found that that helps them stay fresh for quite a while and gets that bloodline out that ruins the meat. But I also know on camera you have to be careful about the bleeding them out and people seeing it because of the world we live in now. Love the channel though. Y'all maintain a really great interaction between the group of guys.

In those rocks, I use a drop shot style rig with a slender Mo-Jo weight or thin strip of lead tied with lighter line on a 3 way swivel. If your weight gets hung, you break it off and save the rest of the rig. Use one or two dropper loops. It would be interesting to see you do a video checking which rig works best in the current conditions. A drop shot or Carolina rigged hook

when you start the cooking part I give you a dislike...your cooking is so poor. is insulting to human species...the other part of the video is normally right. we don't need you to be a chef! just put some love in your cooking and show something good for next generations. if you don't like cooking (is visible) don't do anything, eat cheese balls and beer with someone you know. cmon!
