I scrolled back and forth from the old sound to the new sound Several times the new sound is a little smoother. I actually like the quiet. My Jeep is like that. A lot of times I'll drive by people a distance away. They won't even know im there Until they happen to see me

I've got a 97 TJ and I'm planning to do this same thing. Can it be done without cutting if I take down the skid plate? Great vid, thanks!
@tophersgarage98412 жыл бұрын
I would think so! The only reason I cut mine apart was to not have to drop the skid

Nice! I bought my 1995 with a borla exhaust and not cat. I am tired of the loud sound and fumes, but there was other stuff to address first. Thank you for this video!! Did you require any gaskets other than the “donut” between the exhaust manifold and mid pipe?
@tophersgarage98412 жыл бұрын
Because I recently replaced my manifold, the donut gasket was still in pretty good condition so I just reused that. If you’re running an older or original manifold it may need replacing. The new cat came with a new flange gasket

One other question. Were the clamps and hangers included? Thanks!
@tophersgarage98412 жыл бұрын
So if you buy the exact same parts you’ll need two clamps for the following connections: catalytic converter to muffler and muffler to tail pipe. The mid pipe to cat is a flange connection. I believe the cat came with one exhaust clamp. I bought a couple extra 2-1/4” exhaust clamps from rock auto.

Nice video bro 😎 , what size are the 2 bolts and the hex nuts 🔩 ? 🙏
@tophersgarage98412 жыл бұрын
Which ones?
@carlosg36702 жыл бұрын
@@tophersgarage9841 those 2 bolts that connect the pipe to the exhaust manifold
@tophersgarage98412 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember. If I had to guess maybe 3/8” or 7/16” on the bolt size. I think they required 1/2” wrench to remove

So you don't have to weld this exhaust? Just bolted on?
@tophersgarage9841 Жыл бұрын
That’s correct, no welding needed!

Are those Milestar Patagonia tires? If so how do you like them? Pros/cons?
@tophersgarage9841 Жыл бұрын
They are! I like them a lot! They’re quiet on the road, hook up well in the mud. I haven’t had them on rocks a ton but they seem good. Only con would be that they took a lot of weight to balance

No welding required?

No welding, all bolted together with clamps. Link to the muffler and all parts used is in the description!
