If you look in the manual the two supplied screws and washers are supposed to be used for mounting the wheel base to a stand
@weplayvrgames

I thought so I just bought one and set it up a few days ago and I was sure it said to use them for attaching the wheelbase which was what I did the pedals say not too use to long of a screw so I didn't risk it to try those with the pedals I was just lucky my stand has metal plates for holding the pedals until I get the right length screws

How did it not come with bolts? It’s supposed to include the bolts to hard mount with special washers that are rubber coated to help transfer the vibrations from the transducer on the back.

The price just seems so high compared to what is on the market in the "budget" DD wheel options. Still seems to be a nice upgrade from my t300rs but for $500??
@Blerpa

You could still sell the T300 to recoup some money for the T-GT2, though.

@@Blerpa yeah, thats true. i jumped into sim racing with the t300rs knowing i would want to upgrade within a year or so. it has now been about 9 months of sim racing and am beginning to look at what is on the market. tgt2 has always been a solid option. but i am afraid after another year, that would be something I may want to uprade from yet again. its a tough decision for sure.

@@antoshechka how is the R9 treating you? are you a satisfied customer? There's a local tech shop that stocks some moza products but i just havent quite decided if thats the way I want to go. they dont have console support and i play on PC and PS5. i would still need to keep the t300 for ps5 if i got r9.

@@martymet I feel r9 is stronger of course but in terms of FFB fidelity i couldn't say much because more time got to be spent on adjusting the settings. I bought it last week. I have CS wheel, it's very heavy 2,4 kg so i ordered 600 gramm rim to replace standart one. I also got SR-P pedals, stock brake spring with rubber damper feels not great. I prefer progressive brake feeling of G923. I ordered SR-P Accessory Kit, but not recieved yet. I play on pc only for me lack of console compatability it's not an issue.

Got the Logitech G-Pro today and been comparing it with my T-GT2 and man has It's made me realise just what damn good wheel the T-GT2 is; the FF is practically the same as DD except with more mechanical roughness, but it seriously gives the DD a run for the money and that's without trying the transducer trueforce. The build quality of the wheel and base is exceptional, solid and all the buttons top quality and feel great, ....the downside is the notchy-ness which I personally can't stand and there's a whine off the mechanism that I won't miss. If someone isn't sensitive to the notches and slight whine then it's a fantastic wheel if grabbed for a discount.
@KirkwoodImaging
@KirkwoodImaging 10 ай бұрын
Literally just did the same upgrade this week and my first impression of the G-Pro was “damn, the T-GT was pretty good.” And on top of that, it’s much more “set it and forget it.” In Assetto Corsa it just feels great with just about any car. The DD wheel needs individual tweaks to feel remotely good, massive profile shifts between games etc. I’m going to miss that thing.

@@KirkwoodImaging how do you guys feel about the G Pro compared to the TGT after spending more time with it and how do you feel about the True Force vs the transducer on the TGT? I’m currently on a T300 and trying to decide if I want a TGT2 or a G Pro. Also curious if the transducer on the TGT2 is working on more than just Gran Turismo these days?
@KirkwoodImaging
@KirkwoodImaging 6 ай бұрын
Transducer in the T-GT is still a Gran Turismo only feature after all of this time. I'd highly recommend the G Pro over the T-GT. TrueForce is vastly superior to the transducer in the T-GT.@@Pooz30

Transducer only works in Gran Turismo, and it's a huge missed opportunity for that wheel. I was hoping somebody would hack it to allow it to work with Sim Hub but that never came to pass. G Pro is incredible compared to the TGT2, I'd save up the extra money. The pedals are much better than the T-LCM as well. @@Pooz30

USE THE T-LCM WITH GT7 IMMEDIATELY!!! The pedals VIBRATE!!!!!! The base knows what pedals are connected to it! When in GT mode and T-LCM connected, the light blinks 10 times. As well, the transducer only works with GT 7 (or Sport). When driving a car with a big V8 slowly cruising, you will feel it in the entire rig!!! In the GT7 Options menu, the Vibration section has the DFB transducer adjustment. Frankly, 150 isn’t high enough for me! 🍻

I’ve heard people say belt is less harsh than DD and much better for rally sims. I’m going with Thrustmaster, mostly because Fanatec seem like a terrible company to deal with. I’ll go TGT2 now and in a few years may go with one of their DD bases, once available on console.

I had a CSW 2.5 before upgrading to a Simucube. Eventually sold that, now looking to get into it again. I thought the 2.5 was great, how does this compare?
@KraMelius.
@KraMelius. Жыл бұрын
TGT-2 should be on par with the build quality and performance. The csw2.5 may have a bit better performance tho just due to the all aluminum base allowing for a better belt/pulley system with more torque I would assume. The tgt2 I believe has about 6.2nm of peak torque. Where the csw2.5 has 8nm. And the fanatecs ecosystem to pair with when thinking of other wheels and ease of switching between them.

@@davethestalker ooooo. I'm looking to buying the servo base only and use my T300 rim for it sometime this year or next year
@Blerpa
@Blerpa Жыл бұрын
I've had T150 RS Pro, T300 RS GT (I still have it as a backup wheel) and the T-GTII - I bought just the servo base and added to it the TM Open Wheel I already had and TLC-M pedals. I definitely feel the difference with the T300, actually the thing I like less are the TLC-Ms. I'm pondering if going the DD route, but a few thoughts went in there: the TM 818 was a let down, not much for the price of the servo base per se but because of the new quick release; it is good a person can retain the old wheels with just the adaptor, but that flimsy and plasticky new QR does not look solid enough to me. Also, not going to blindly buy (pre-order, actually) a 650 euro product without watching a few reviews before. Other parts in the thought process: spending for a 5NM DD does not feel right. FFB and experience is not given only by NM sheer numbers, I do agree, but there's no much point to either downgrade or stay in the same tier of forces, so no simple Fanatec CSL DD or GT DD... with the added issue that the 349 and 449 euro solo servo bases have been sold out since half a year, at least in Europe, and Fanatec is not at all catching up with the production. Add that to Fanatec so-and-so reputation for warranty and aftersale service and you have either a recipe for disaster or a long wait with no ending in sight. With that said I'm eyeing up to January to jump ship to Simagic with an Alpha Mini and FX rim. Pedals to be decided yet, there's plenty of models in the market, but I can make do for a bit with the TLC-M by USB. I'm mildly interested in the Cammus pedals and the claim in some reviews that they feel, for once, like a real car pedals. So, the TG-T2 is a wonderful wheel at its price range if one get a used bundle or just the servo and adds an already existing TM setup rims and pedals. Brand new is a more difficult proposal, only reason people can be lured into it is that it is more easily available at big electronic stores (compared to imported Cammus, Moza or even Simagic) and that Fanatec entry level DD is eternally out of stock.
