Thrustmaster T LCM Second Drive - Plugged Into Thrustmaster Base

This is my Second official test drive with the new Thrustmaster T LCM Pedal Set. These were my first laps filmed live after getting the pedals on my rig and dialed in for me. I ran these pedals in 12 bit mode with them plugged directly into my Thrustmaster TS XW wheelbase.
Thrustmaster has stepped into the modern era of sim racing equipment. They have now introduced their first load Cell Pedal set for sim racing. This pedal set can be a stand alone USB pedal set at 16 bit on the PC. It is also Xbox One and PS4 compatible when used in 12 bit mode and plugged directly into a Xbox or PS4 Thrustmaster wheelbase.

This is basically my set up and I love it. TM - LCM pedals with TM TS-PC 488 Challenger Edition wheel base all on a Next Level Racing wheel stand DD. Feels amazing without breaking the bank. Will eventually add the TM - TSS Shifter/handbrake and the Next Level Racing seat add-on.

@@magical5181 Yeah. The gas and clutch pedals are more or less the same as the T3PA but the brake pedals are miles ahead of my loadcell modded T3PA. You have different springs to adjust it however you like. You can make the brake pedals feel similar to your daily driver or a full on racing brakes. There are 3rd party mods as well to make it a bit better if you find the springs lacking. I also like that you can adjust deadzones, maximum levels and brake force via Thrustmaster's software. I wasn't able to do that to my T3PA's loadcell although there's probably a compatible software that functions similarly out there. It's also compatible with Thrustmaster's wheel bases so you'd have no problem using it in consoles if you have a TM wheel. It's a great upgrade and if you ask me, I'd rather go for this than a Fanatec CSL LC due to the cheaper price and better technology (magnetic vs potentiometer). However, if you have money for a Fanatec Clubsport V3 or the more expensive hydraulic ones, then go for it.

Nice vid. I am looking at getting the LCM and also interested in your exact wheel setup too. The issue I am having is what is the difference between the TX servo and T300RS servo? The Sparco wheel will work with both, what is the difference in performance in the servos?

Do you guys think the angle of the throttle is wrong? Look how much the foot is slipping, I didn't have this on the T3PA. Makes it harder to modulate i feel

Love these absokutely my favorite pedals reason why is price I can't believe what you get I like them better then any of my fanstrc pedals as crazy as that sounds its perfect for me my preference it fits well I like the load cell way more then the upgrade for the csl elite pedals lol also these are soooo smooth lol I truely am more consistent to the point I'm shaving off .2 on each lap on average which adds up alot overtime crazy what being comfortable and having the perfect weight brake for your preference can do I don't want heavier I have hip and back issues this is perfect lol and it just feels quality I felt them and went wtf thrustmaster absolutely smashed it in such a good way this time haha can compete with the best of them in comps now as you said pedals matter more then even FFb in your opinion or should say good ffb but yeah these teuely do make you more consistent which is key lol

@@Rapid_GT riiiight... Hall sensors in the t-lcm VS potentiometers in the csl elites clutch and throttle. Also the load cell on the csl is in the wrong place making it inconsistent. If you put pressure on either the top or the bottom the braking input is going to differ because the cell in at the back of the face instead of on the bottom of the spring. Don't write these off that easily. Fanatecs might look better, but I am more confident with these. Either that or spend even more for v3's with the brake performance kit (even more money...)

The CSL Elite Load Cells aren't Potentiometers they work on muscle memory and that's what we're talking about here is Load Cell brakes, regarding pressure top or bottom i'm not sure what you're talking about but they work perfectly fine, however the TM LCMs are being found to be faulty by consumers the springs in both brakes and accelerator pop out, so yeah i'd go for Fanatec Quality everyday of the week mate.

@@Rapid_GT You're not reading mate, talking about the gas and clutch being pots on the csl, and hall sensors on the LCM. Also side to side flex on the csl elite. Also the loadcell is on the back of the faceplate on the csl... Thats the wrong place to put the thing. Thus the inconsistent measurement of the brake force. So the 'no comparison, fanatecs are much higher quality'? I'm not saying these are much higher... But I am saying the csl elites aren't what they seem to be either...

@@nelis999 You're going off topic mate, this video was about LCs and i don't use the clutch i use paddle shifters on the P1, i have personally not experienced side to side Flex on the CSL Elite pedals either! . TM LCs are a very cheap alternative to Fanatec trust me, TM TGT is also another product that is constantly having issues with Sim Racers, i know this because a lot of GT Sport top split players use the TGT, these TM LCs are just another bad product mate. Also if you check out SRG review on Fanatec CSL Elite LCs you'll see it.s a very thorough and positive review with no mention of the load cells being in the wrong place and i think you'll find Barry actually knows what he's talking about!

The Ricmotech load cell weighs 20 kg and requires artificial bushing to withstand a force greater than 20 kg. Strictly speaking, the brake force is not implemented by a complete load cell sensor. Therefore, linear brake force is not implemented. On the other hand, the T-LCM is expected to be able to implement a strong, linear brake force with a load cell sensor weighing 100kg. There are also a number of spring modes available to regulate the brake force, similar to the Elite load cell brake of Fanatec(the load cell weight of the Fanatec is 90 kg). The pedal resolution of the T3PA PRO is 8 bits, the T-LCM is 12 bits from the console and 16 bits from the PC (Fanatec Elite load cell is 16 bits and CSP V3 is 12 bits). Informations released to date suggests that the changes from T3PA PRO to T-LCM are a clear upgrade and the price of T-LCM is 200 USD, the T3PA PRO should no longer be considered valuable for purchase.

hi i plunged it into my win 10 pc, but can not calibrate it, i looked in device manager and there is no driver for "sim pedals" windows update does not find a driver

Thats a common thing and nothing to worry about, Fanatec is the same the first thing you do is update the firmware and theres subsequent firmware updates after that.

Such a shame that Thrustmaster products are such a ripoff in New Zealand. Cost almost $400USD for a set of these for us. Hence always looking for secondhand Fanatec. Even a T300RS wheel is over $650USD here, ridiculous!
