Great tutorial! Followed along and upgraded my fan. I didn't want to splice any wires so I just bought an adapter on Amazon. In case anyone wants to do the same, it's called "CRJ Mini 2-Pin Fan Adapter Cables (2-Pack) - 4-inch (10cm), Black Sleeved - Connect 3-Pin/4-Pin PC Fans to Mini 2-Pin JST XH 2.5mm Headers" and ran me $8.99 for a 2 pack. Make sure you get the "MINI 2-Pin to Fan" one and not the "MICRO 2-Pin to Fan" or the "Mini TO Micro 2-Pin" one. Thanks again!
