Great Video Brooke & Damien. Look forward to seeing the next one. Certainly a very light electric outboard. I like the fact there is a fitted tether cord in case it slips off the transom and you lose it! I also like the prop guard. I have had torqeedo 1103 electric outboard which I am very happy with. Totally silent with a long range. Comes in three pieces so easy to handle but think it is a lot heavier than yours when assembled. Great not to have a petrol can onboard too! A very happy 2024 to you both with, I hope, lots more 895 video

Hahaha crazy. What are you running the Kicker on?

@@TheRudder just an Aspre 2.3 - small air deck. Used mainly for short haul from anchored 895 to the beach. We don’t have davits (have considered a rack like yours) so just pull the whole lot (including kicker) up over the port side cockpit when under way. The stern and Kicker stick out a bit. Not ideal but it works. Very happy with the Kicker

Hi, I'm still experimenting with the depth. About 10cm seems to be fairly good.

Clever, for sure. If you cross-shopped with the other e-outboards (e.g. Torquedo) that are available in Oz, it would be great if you could compare/contrast. That gas outboard's days are surely numbered. 👍

Would love to do that comparison, don't quite have the access but will look into it. It is a really different experience as opposed to all the smoke and noise of a normal tender.
