Hahaha "Dumpster FOMO," I am very familiar with this sensation. Any day I don't go out salvaging I think "man I bet the electrician shop dumpster is FULL of breaker boxes and bus bars today..."

One of the most frustrating things is seeing other people scrapping stuff that I personally could use, immediately. Things that, only a crazy person would ever actually try to resell, so it makes perfect sense to scrap. My house needs new gutters and rain leaders. Odds are I drive within a few minutes of your house on the way to Home Depot to buy the exact thing you just scrapped. Oh well, things be like they do.

I loooove those days ☺️ you’ve been here for awhile now so I know you saw when I set those runs aside and my reasoning for doing so, but I also said at that time that we’d still do them once in awhile. They don’t get great views, but I think I lived life better when I started each day with a slow early walk every day

I went by one of my little treasure holes and picked up 16 computers that had been trashed. Only the power supply, mother boards, a few processor chips, heat sinks, and cd drive remained in them. I took them home, scrapped them down. hauled the cases in for the steel since they take up so much room. Swung by afterwards and there were 16 more and 8 laptops minus the batteries there and about 20 lbs of scrap cat5. That and microwave broadcast antenna with 22 lbs of heavy caste aluminum and a Hersey bar sized circuit board with one side covered in gold was my weekend.

Little surprised u didn’t strip the lumex. I spoke to you a few weeks ago on my comment about taking things apart like motors and what not to get the copper out and if it’s worth it. It doesn’t seem to be but I have noticed stripping certain wire is very worth it which I found from u. Highly recommend upgrading to an automatic wire stripper oppose to the drill powered. Wow what a difference. I definitely take stripping wire over taking things apart. When it comes to what is worth it. Upgrading the wire and copper prices is well worth it.

I've watched a myriad of your videos. I like the "processing" and taking apart ones more. However, I cant say Ive seen any compilations. More so of the "strange, unusual, and high value" finds would be cool. I.E. you ever find a Nakamichi or high end audio equipment? Guns or other crime items? If so, what did you do about that? Ive asked about finding sterling silver. You ever find any chunky gold, titanium, or the like? That video, regardless of how you compile it would be cool.
