After watching your channel for a couple of years I finally got around to doing a bit of scrapping myself. Learnt a lot, made a mess, got a couple of bucks for my trouble. Not sure if it's going to be a continuous thing, but boy it sure is a lot of fun pulling things apart and figuring out how they work. Thanks for the inspiration to have a crack at it myself Thub. May your scrap be bountiful.

Love your videos man you are are literally my favorite person to watch. Some men watch football I watch you take shit apart lol. You have saved me time man. Idk about you but I lay in bed at night thinking about all tye metal I'll find and take apart the next day lol. Anyway thanks man and I wish you and your family a long happy life

You are one hard working and dedicated individual. Do you keep a record of how much metal you recycle in a year? Recycling metal and copper helps to keep prices down for everyone in addition to keeping all of the metal out of landfills. Great job!!!

In the past year whenever I cut the spokes off of bicycle rims, I keep them in a tube in my shop. I use them as filler wire for when I’m doing mixed fuel welding. I just clean the spokes with a green scotchbrite and apply flux paste. Gotta look for as many ways to save these days on shop supplies these days

Dump that burned copper in with some vinegar or even some cola for a few days. GIve it a good shake a couple times a day and you may end up with number one after all. Or just let the container roll around the floorboard of your truck for awhile. It'll act like a tumbler and knock most of the soot and such off.

You got to slow down my boy you're no good if you're hurt. I feel ya i hate beingthe at scrap yard at closing that but is what it is. Another thing that trailer would be a dump trailer if it was in my possession. I stack the bed of my truck with metal the same way you would do branches one pull it all comes and no matter where I am I separate it in material types #1 heavy #2 light prepared un prepared but the one thing I dont do because we have to go around and weigh again to go inside for precision metal is go at closing because they rush and will throw clean brass with one say metal handle in to dirty instead of pulling it out or call something the wrong and cheaper material and we can't have that with all that work. Isn't that a handle for a handicapped stall the handle that folds up and down against the wall?

Honestly with all of the free stuff you get, you should just go ahead and buy a homestead outside of city limits. Go visit it once a week or whatever and bring the stuff you want to keep/needs long term storage. You find plenty of good condition construction materials that don't need to sell to the yard. Just build up a place as you go, yes is it's less money you earn from the yard but it's more money you save not buying it at the hardware store when you need it. Plus it would unburden your home to make it a more efficient scrapping area.

I thought you were throwing your Zamak in with your aluminum. Dunno how a yard would tell the difference other than the suspicious weight, it's hard enough to tell in person. It's so commonly alloyed with aluminum, and more expensive, wouldn't think anyone would object. Huge shame to throw it in with the tin shred. I'm surprised Empire doesn't have a zinc bin.
