This show definitely had more potential than some people gave it credit for on the CW. Black Lightning would have been better off on another network like Netflix or HBO max. I believe the writing would have been better as well for the show. I was hoping the show would've lasted long enough to feature Static Shock. Bummer!

For real. I always thought the show would've been better off on HBO Max since I saw with what they did with Titans and I was really hoping to see Static show up at some point and be trained by Jefferson and then he would get his own live action spin-off. Man that would've been so nice.

Thunder actually turned out to be my favorite on the show. She had my favorite character development out of everyone on the show. Her fight scenes were actually nicer than BL's too imo.

I thought it was a cool application of how superheroes have to activate their powers. She has a trigger or at this point in her origin she only knew how to activate it that way. Most shows they just find out they have powers and all of a sudden they mastered it she had to learn to regulate her breathing and then learn the limitations of it. She had to learn breathing control and train her lunges

Loved her character and her arc. Her powers were pretty dope too. But, having her powers solely rely on her breathing was kind of shitty. She was at a massive disadvantage when came to fights. She had to hold her breathe everytime she needed to use them. That, I feel, was a shitty power design choice.
