Comparing Apples to Apples same length vs. same length is there any real decibel reduction & tone difference on a dedicated 5.56 versus a .30 cal thunderbeast on a 5.56 plat form?

Vs back- pressure sound to the year difference.

@@casualty178 I'm late to the response, but the answer is yes and no. Slightly more quiet for the dedicated 5.56 or 6.5 variants, slightly more backpressure. That being said, it really depends on how much you care. I have a .308, it's sub MOA with a bunch of good ammo. It's never better than .5 MOA. I don't handload for it, because it's "Good enough." I've got a 6.5 that is 1/4 MOA all day long. THAT I handload for, because the tiny difference matters when we're talking about that small a group. If you're a guy who REALLY wants the top tier can for it, then go 5.56 dedicated. If you want the versatility, 30 cal.

I'm not really sensitive to blow back. It also is a combo of the suppressor, host, and gun. Most of ours are tuned to run suppressed. I didn't really notice any or was bothered by it. They are a bit higher backpressure than others though.
