So the Paradise Hotel is actually in St. Petersburg, Florida. It's called the Don Cesar and is a pretty notable local landmark. It's where rich tourists stay. Hogan lives less than a half hour away, or at least he did when this was filmed. Idk where he currently lives, but he's still trying to stay in the restaurant game with a place on Clearwater Beach.

China actually introduce this show in the late 90s and I remembered that cool speedboat. I do not aware one of the protagonist is Hulk Hogan though. It is shame no official US DVD release for the show. I am glad not the only one think inside of the boat is too huge from outside view.

To answer the "who is this for" question, you kind of nailed it, guessing "for fans of wrestling." If i remember right, this played on tv (tnt, tbs, one of those) right before and/or right after WCW shows, so I think they knew their audience was going to be chiefly, if not limited to, wrestling fans. and baywatch fans.

If I remember right, it was one of the post-Nitro shows, the other one I remember being that Mortal Kombat show. At least I could get through those shows long enough to stay interested. Mulletheads as a post-wrestling show that tried to capitalize on the wrestling fans failed so hard I didn't even make it through the first episode.

You missed my two favorite things: Hogan promoted it as "Baywatch with explosions". And he filmed it in Disney World; he'd shut down attractions so he could film. Example: the Morocco pavilion and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show are big parts of it.

Would have loved to see Hogan's "Thunderforce" series, that he wanted to do as some kind of reboot after "Thunder in Paradise" was cancelled. The original show was the sh!t in Germany back then. They probably could have sold the reboot much better for international markets, just like they did with "Baywatch". I think this show, no matter if rebooted or not, probably could have ran at least two more seasons and build a bigger fanbase overseas. Greetings from Germany! :-)

Not gonna lie, the second I saw a hulkster playlist I was hoping and praying you got around to thunder in paradise, literally the second thing I ever watched as a teen that I Knew was absolutely bad but had to watch for the cringe comedy. The first was that ninja turtles rock concert thing, that vhs immediately made my 11 or so year old self laugh and rewind as soon as shredder Sang a Song called I Hate Music. Sang...a song...about how he hates music just so much you guys. Also before that he roasts the audience, the lil kids and the parents, it's honestly the only redeeming thing on that shameful vhs. Sorry for the rant, thank you so much for these three videos on this absolutely stupid as hell show.

Hogan is mostly lying to the little girl. Hammerheads don’t eat trash that big if at all and by the small size of the one in the movie. I doubt he could put his whole hand in it’s mouth if had been alive… It looks to be a subadult if not a juvenile shark and considering he said giant hammerhead Hogan should be going to jail for fishing up an endangered species.

I was a sucker for Knight Rider, though everytime there was something sexy going on I was cringing. I'm weird, I know, but I loved the series all thanks to Kitt! PS: I do love Phelan making those sound effects. I was always being laughed at when I did stuff like that!
