I wish I could have bought that car when it was in production. Also, don't look too striclty the temps. You have a bigger aftermarket head and probably colder day. It soulds like it is too lean on high and rich from bottom.

the carb is not sealing correctly, the o rings are shot, i need to look into a new one or look for a rebuild on this one, still has work to be done

luckily mine wur bought in decent shape, but as for rings im part of a fb group where someone is making them, so tht seems like a good source

yah i have a lot of work i need to do with the carb, but these engines are supposed to run in the high 200's and my temps wur in the mid 230's range so i believe it could be leaned out a bit, but honestly these engines are meant to be ran on the rich side so i will most likely leave it, the low speed needle and mid range needle are the two im focused on atm

witch fuel is best for this 70 engine ? 20 20 ?

i ended up making my own fuel, i got some 30/9 and the benol and made it a 30/22 mix and it worked good
