SS Hau is an insane unit for me. Fairy zone for NY Lisia and I have Champion Bede 3/5 so it isn't an issue if NY Lisia is physical and SS Hau is special and I have head start on him so a cycle of moves is gone with fairy zone into trainer move with Hau. Also a better partner for Ash than Thunderbolt Red in my eyes, especially when paired with SS Kris. Rain dance now gives another special attack up next with his passive as if she needed another way to farm those buffing B thunderbolt even fucking more than it already was. This unit is actually fucking ridiculous and is a no brainer for me to pull.
@zachariahmiksch8933 Жыл бұрын
You realize the Pikas help each other with their master fairs? 2 Pika and a Kanto support or other MF support is superior to anything with Koko unless you want Ash to tank to put Koko with both Pika lmao
@emerfirek Жыл бұрын
@@zachariahmiksch8933 Don't doubt Ash's tanking capabilities, lol. I don't think there's another unit in the game that can give themselves 2 consecutive guaranteed Endurances, up to two Damage Guard Nexts (w/ Trainer Sync Redemption tile), two different grad heals (one of which is always active w/ SS Hau/SST Red), up to two Master Healers and a full heal on his self potion, and an HP stat that you'd expect from an actual tank (the Def/SpD stats are pretty average for a Strike, but the Endures and DGNs don't care about stats anyway; the grad heals care about HP though). He is not going to faint unless you just... let him. On top of that, SST Red can even provide 50% flinches from Thunder Shock: Staggering 4 if you really want (but I think he's the best Syncer on this team). I can't find any major faults in a Koko-DoubleRat team. The biggest one is prob just Koko's self sufficiency stuff, but I think it's ok to forego Morale Boost in place of Mind Games, Sharp Entry, and some damage stuff.
@powerfulberry237 Жыл бұрын
Koko is strictly for people who don't have double rats, period. No other advantages or niches otherwise As for Fairy Zone we already have SS Wally the perfect partner for Lisia with the Hoenn bonus People who think Koko is created for Ash or Lisia are just coping hard they missed out on these better chars last year
@powerfulberry237 Жыл бұрын
Wally + Lisia get Fairy and Hoenn bonus. Koko + Lisia is literally just for Fairy Zone. Might as well use Fini
@emerfirek Жыл бұрын
@Powerful BERRY Just wait for the Koko-DoubleRat showcase, lol. I agree that SS Wally simply has better theme skill synergy w/ NY Lisia than Koko or Fini, though. Both SS Hau and SS Wally can give her the final +2 Spe, but she wants +2 Atk as well, which none of them provide. So if the least you can bring as the 3rd unit is a generic Strike Together eggmon, might as well bring Fini just to soak up the hits. Otherwise, sth like SS Wally+D.Gloria/Redlax/etc. (for Max Knuckle and Def debuffs) sounds nice.

Although I didn't feel the need to pull him since I have a good set of electric and fairy type sync pairs, the move and skill set seemed interesting so I went for it. Luckily I drew it on my second multi so I can go for other ones if I find them good too.

Also works i believe very well with tapu fini. For people dont pull for Sygna suit thunderbolt red this is defently a good unit to pull. The unfortunate part is: tapu fini does what tapu koko with fairy zone but better on top of be support. In general luxray is already enogh for elettric terrain setter (is a regular spotlight) if you already have a good elettric damage dealer (tech/striker). Defently very nice unit but the gems are so poor this month 6 limited units and not even enogh for a pity this month. Also they rerun giratina and i want it for so long (considering i started the game after that period sadly). If im lucky i would consider to get tapu fini or tapu bulu but for now im waiting.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
Honestly outside of weather clashing I don't see a reason they can't all work well together, much like Lugia, Celebi, and Suicune last year, all good units... that being said... this is part 1, and like last year some may have regretted pulling on Giovanni and Morty despite them being crazy good because that trio was better.
@powerfulberry237 Жыл бұрын
I wanted Giratina too but after Fall Allister (technically the same purpose but even better) and looking at Giratina's outdatedly awkward kit, idk anymore... It's like Lusamine tbh. They have really aged

@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
@@powerfulberry237 Not really, the only better psychic type is Deoxys, which is a unit that can work on its own, vs if you need a 2nd psychic team, Lusamine still amazing. You could pair Latias up with Deoxys, Musharna with Necrozma, or vice versa, then whatever supports to help them. Compared to other master fairs... ok that's fair, not as bad as Leon, but still not Lugia, Groudon, Kyogre levels (especially when they get primals eventually). That being said there's still room for Master fairs to get grid expansions, at the very least 3/5, whether they get 5/5 grid expansions only time will tell. Also Giratina still has Ghost zone, which would do even more if you paired with the rebuff Allister, especially now with the higher points in Champion Stadium. That or means more ghost types to fight Uxie and Azelf during Legendary Gauntlets, I personally used Giratina, Lunala, and Morty Mismagius, until I finally EXed Polteageist. Then Lodge Morty came out, EXing BP and Lodge units, now he's on my 2nd ghost team with Hex Maniac and Lodge Morty, despite no zone or rebuffs a stellar team. So you could use those combos for legendary guantlet, then Allister with 2 other ghost types for a 3rd team, or slap Giratina, Gourgeist, and some ghost striker for champion Stadium. Hell if anything ghost needs both since it doesn't have a terrain or weather to boost damage. Also don't think it's kit is that awkward, just have it be a buffdebuffer and move guage refresher, especially if you have a guage eater like Lunala that's really good. Giratina can be powerful at attacking, but yes has been outclassed, however it has other value, I haven't used it as my main damage dealer ever, just a 2nd support.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
@@powerfulberry237 Also zones do do more damage unless it's rank 2 rebuff in which it's the same, or rebuff 3 in which yeah rebuffs better. Plus doesn't it take more time and turns to rebuff all the opponents vs just zoning, weather, or terrain? Especially from Allister who only does it 1 target at a time. Not sure how many times he can rebuff as I don't have him, but that means 9 turns if it can go to -3, whereas ghost zone you use once it lasts 9 turns, use a 2nd time that's 18 turns. Then again you can add rebuff and zone damage together to do even more.

I think he's amazing. The team of Koko/Fini/Kyogre was the first idea I had when hearing about Koko and Fini's kits. First, they'd all get min +3 SMUN on entry (unless Melemele Ocean Breeze only activates off a manual action rather than an Entry/Sync Passive, but we'll see), +4 w/ Fini's Team Smart Start 1. Fini can also max SpA b/c Rain (but the other two would need to use their tms anyway to max their crit), Koko's dps is doubled b/c Fairy Zone (also the -1 countdown, which isn't as impactful), and Kyogre's Thunder is boosted further by ET (and Team Power Induction 2). Fini can also reset Kyogre's drops turn 2 w/ B Protect. In CSMM, they may be able to pick up the -3 stats and 1/2 ally HP parameters and max themselves out from there. Koko also meshes really well w/ Genesect against Elec-weak, b/c they both play for SpD and Spe debuffs. That said, I think both the supports (Fini and Bulu) have more uses in various scenarios and team comps than Koko, so they'll prob take priority in terms of pulling. And Lele is just insane Psychic damage, which I need the least, but Lana's a fave tho. Of course, I'd love it if I could pull all 4 of them, lol.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
Kyogre or Red Pikachu my 1st thoughts, granted Red doesn't need that much help being crazy good on his own. Koko I think will work well as a 2nd support of sorts, while also being a solid damage dealer, because it can work on electric, rain, or fairy teams. Even if they don't have nodes to boost damage with rain, rain already boosts electric accuracy. Also I haven't looked at Fini's kit completely, or at least not the grid, is it better than Suicune? Not that I'd take it away from my team with Lugia Tornadus, so is an option to have Fini with other units.
@emerfirek Жыл бұрын
@@IgnatiusBlaze4 For Rain specifically, I think Suicune may still be better for Water spec attackers in general (b/c crit maxing, Spe buffs, Rain MPR, and more than 1 SMUN are some important things that Fini doesn't have). Fini is just faster at maxing SpA (1 turn +6 in Rain will be very useful), has more defensive tools, a lot more reliable sustainability, and of course infinite Fairy Zone for Fairy attackers.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
@@emerfirek Yeah ok, thanks for that, so Suiune still better rain team, plus it can give as much as a +16 spc atk boost (especially if helping Lugia that can do that itself too), but Fini is arguably more versatile given it also helps fairy types, not just water, electric, or flying. More defense is also good in my book, Suicune good healing, but not great at defense, and with Lugia and Tornadus that don't have much in the way of defense, could be useful.

…hello, Elesa? She’s actually usable now after her grid expansion.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
Miss Ash and Pikachu? There is also Hau which is good, Elesa, Sophocles, there are some solid electric types thanks to grid expansions, Luxray is really good, though I mainly use as a flincher 2nd support to Red Pikachu. Just saying I'd wait, especially if you're new, last year this time Johto was rolling out crazy units too, Giovanni and Morty are still super good units today... but the Master fairs were even better. Always wait for a part 2, aside from Unova they're generally better units... Kalos debateable, Volcanion was good, just so many other water and fire types not really needed vs rock zone Diantha. Then Cynthia Giratina I wouldn't pass on either, no other ghost zone units in the game so far, while there's a few electric terrain, and Wally Gardevoir is a fairy zone, Fini is a fairy zone, I wouldn't be surprised if Tapu Lele is a fairy zone and psychic terrain unit. If that does happen too... then not only will your Diantha be aided, but so will Lusamine if you're lucky to get her.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
I mean I usually pop in to try to be a voice of reason, especially as F2P... but honestly can't find a reason to skip on him or Fini, they're weather and terrain/zone setters? That's ridiculous, Bulu ehhh less so since it doesn't seem able to redo the grassy terrain. Especially Koko, it's going to be super good with Ash or Red, if you missed wally Gardevoir a good fairy aid. All I'd say to counter is 1... always wait for part 2, just like last year, Nidoking and shiny Ho-Oh crazy good units... then Lugia, Suicune, and Celebi are even better, and 2 Pokefairs do rerun, you might get lucky if they rerun them in a combined banner, which is what I'm hoping for from the May and Cyrus one coming up (forgot the 3rd but don't have them either).
@powerfulberry237 Жыл бұрын
Ellipses typing is 1 big sign to not take people like you seriously, and, big surprise, you are indeed illiterate! Bulu can refresh his Grassy Terrain just like all the other Tapus with their main terrain. I know reading is hard bro, but maybe consider fact-checking first before writing a wall of text that's impossible to read and top it all off by... typing... like... this...
@emerfirek Жыл бұрын
Bulu does have infinite GT, btw (it's Green Thumb). It just has fewer Sun activations than Blaine, but you can pair it up w/ other Sun/field effect setters for extra PMUNs. It's kinda weird how they split the utilities btwn the four, but Bulu and Koko are for respective teamwide MUNs, while Fini is for Def/SpD buffs (and Lele is both MUNs, but only for self); Bulu gives teamwide crit+Atk (and a little bit of Def), Fini gives teamwide SpA (and +1 crit at 3/5), and Koko gives teamwide Spe. Lele has the least team utility (basically just infinite PT + Team Weird Vibes 2, which is still amazing), but obv the most damage of the four.
@IgnatiusBlaze4 Жыл бұрын
@@emerfirek Ok was looking at the kit, didn't seem like it had a way to reup grassy terrain, so must be in sync grid? I didn't look at those, my bad on that, and good thing it does. Although... how does it have fewer than Blaine? I thought Blaine didn't get a sunny day refresh? My biggest complaint about him and Winnona with rain dance. I've seen nothing for Lele outside of it's with Lana... which like Mina and Fini ehhh not feeling it, there's no reason Olivia couldn't be with it, not retired like Hala or lazy like Nanu, and she's definitely more popular. Is cool they can sort of work together (aside from Lele it seems?), but yeah definitely better off for their respective types, Koko either electric or fairy, grass fire Bulu, water fairy maybe electric or flying Fini. Definitely good units. So Lele doesn't have fairy zone? That seems weird, Bulu makes sense since it already has 2 field effects, but all of them have 2... except her? strange. Thanks for the update and catching what I didn't. If anything strengthens what I said, definitely good units aces to pull for... but always wait for a part 2, and still probably best to wait for a multi pull with all of them or other units you don't have, unless you're hurting for these types.

There's not much value in her aoe Sync until 3/5 (Devastation + up to 5 Sync +25 tiles), but you do have to Sync w/ her to get her only dps multiplier, Fairy Power 5, so it is technically more useful than EXing a 1/5 Cynth or Redzard. But above all that, if you like her black outfit and/or her music theme, I'd say that's enough reason to go for it. You'll eventually get enough 5☆ power-ups and champion spirits to unlock multiple units per month, as long as you do all the events, missions, etc.

@@kicking_ninja She's not bad, relativity easy Sync setup (slightly tougher than Silver's though, b/c he maxes his own crit, but they're actually pretty equal in damage, depending on Silver's Lucky Skill). She just wants max speed + max crit, and either Sun/Super Effective Up Next/Fire Rebuff, or any combination of the three. If you have any two facilitators that can her those, ya, she'll be worth (just as much as Silver). Actually, SS Acerola can give her max crit, +3 Spe, and Sun, while SC Steven can give her the other +3 Spe, SEUN, -1 Rebuff, and Def debuffs if needed. They also give her a bunch of Physical Move Up Nexts for one Flare Blitz at the end in case she doesn't crit the mid. I kinda want to try that out, too, once Bulu comes in.
