If you google the meaning of an asterisk, it says that it means something that has been ommited. And if you google what ommited means, it stands for someone or something that has been left out/exluded. So I think the asterisk symbolise the teams social status as an outcast or damaged goods that has been cast aside.

I’m just going to flat out say it… This gets me more excited than captain America brave new world and no it’s not because the 1000 reshoots the cap movie got that made me lose hope but because we are finally getting a team up movie after like 10 years or something.
