I'm a musician (amateur my whole life) and this is a musicians song. I think that's why you can so easily see the joy in the other musicians faces while they jam with Thundercat. That's got to be one of the nastiest base lines/harmonies I've ever heard. That groove felt like a sun-kissed black hole, warm and gentle with imperceptible depth. That percussion was crispier than twice-fried hasbrowns too. I almost stood up at my desk and started dancing.

He has a ramp mounted between two soap bar pickups and it make it look like one huge pickup. Check out the pickups on something like a sting ray or a G&L
