Jon was burning up the keyboard!!!!! Lots of of intricate funky runs, and his bass synth groove is impeccable. Lots of that Jay Dilla rub groove in this song. The bass,drums,percussion notes all rub up against each other and create a lope feel.

I'm a musician (amateur my whole life) and this is a musicians song. I think that's why you can so easily see the joy in the other musicians faces while they jam with Thundercat. This song is just so good on so many different levels. But yeah the pure joy to jamming out to this song is so clearly visible on everyones' face.

That's got to be one of the nastiest base lines/harmonies I've ever heard. That groove felt like a sun-kissed black hole, warm and gentle with imperceptible depth. That percussion was crispier than twice-fried hasbrowns too. I almost stood up at my desk and started dancing.
