So I'm a bassist; been playing for about ten years, and I play a six-string Ibanez myself. I love it, but sometimes I feel as though I haven't progressed to where I want to be. This video made me see why I haven't, and realize the error of my ways. 1.) Always use an envelope filter and an octaver. 2.) If you aren't wearing a pink hoodie with shorts, you'll never get to where you want to be. Enlightenment is bliss.

Despite the fact that most people's needs really don't amount to much more than those of a 5th grader's anyways because we're all emotionally stunted and are overly concerned with outside perception and acceptance? If there was one thing I could pound into people’s heads about virtuoso musicians, it’s the colossal amount of time they spend practicing. Every five minute clip you see of someone doing something amazing on an instrument represents 10,000 hours of mind-numbing practice that no one ever sees.

people don’t realise that they need to search a tiny bit for good music today which is a huge problem! there’s been a huge funk and soul resurgence recently but it’s hidden behind the usual radio play. i always immediately send some good stuff to people that complain about a lack of it.
