Thunderstone Advance: Intro and Setup

Stasia Doster The new World's Collide solitaire rules are much more forgiving than the original ones from the first set. I would get totally crushed 90% of the time . . . now I only get totally crushed 50% of the time. And yeah, very fun deck builder!

I have not played with the rules from WC, although I do own it and several of the other expansions. I have just always played with the original rules from Caverns of Bane. I will have to give the updated rules a try.

Just out of curiosity, would you be willing to share what you didn't care about in the Numenera set?

Del Virata The heroes with the fiddly tokens I could live without, and the rest didn't inspire me too much. The village cards, a lot of which were just plain weird, I felt did not make a good fit for the rest of the sets. And the monsters, which are pretty cool I have to say, again I felt like they were not a good match. Also, the setting cards . . . not a fan. Things I do really like - the cloth bag, the colored XP tokens, but those are easily gotten with Into the Abyss (no cloth bag though but not hard to substitute). Numenera has a ton to offer, just not what I was looking for as far as Thunderstone Advance - and it costs the most of any set, also a reason for me to save some cash for other games.

too bad this has a ridiculous price tag right now. Here's for hoping this game get's a reprint. I was too busy buying Legendary DB stuff and missed out on my window on this :(
