Nice video Max , question , does approach leave you so high that you have to chop n drop on the way in and was that the reason for the fly through final and the slip to get her down .. Btw , what a greaser landing .... butter the bread .!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice job ..
@CitationMax7 жыл бұрын
Aidan Beirne hey Aidan, the main reason they chop n dropped us was the terrain and direction we were coming from they just couldn’t get us down KSAF is in this valley I think it’s there normal procedure. But I️ might be wrong

I didn't see anybody slip forward or backwards. Good traction on the air molecules.

What is a forward slip?
@nathansparrow84562 жыл бұрын
Aileron opposite rudder to lose altitude sans gaining airspeed. You are increasing drag exponentially by presenting the side of the fuselage into the direction of travel. Should always be done at idle and aileron should be added once rudder is set and both should be taken out simultaneously to exit the slip. Most common use is if you turn final and you’re high. At that point you can just point the nose down and go from a 500 fpm to day 1000 fpm descent but the problem is you are trading altitude for airspeed which you don’t want to do on final. The forward slip solves this by allowing you to lose altitude without picking up airspeed. Also, many planes did and don’t have flaps so this maneuver is what is used in those types. I believe some cubs don’t have flaps. What is impressive about what he did here beyond how smooth it was is the fact that he went left rudder right aileron from the left seat and pulled it out at the last minute. Also he had a passenger which made his view all the less meaning alot of this was probably instinctual.

Hey man, just curious if N595MW is your aircraft and if so I'd like to know the cost towards owning a Cirrus based on your personal experience!

r3poman671 hey. The SR22 is a great airplane. It is my plane and with all operating cost it’s about 120 hr to run it annually
