ハーロックｖｓ切田長官のリベンジマッチ・・・・・。 佐藤正治さん、脇役や悪役を演じる事が多いけれど、本作の松倉航海長や、へーゲラーのような役もあり、悪者だけど憎めないという役イメージがありますね。 ザイデルに異を唱えたり、ユルゲンスを気遣ったり、目が覚めた時には既に手遅れだった事を激しく悔いたりという具合に、悪役なのに悲壮なところに。

Space Battleship Yamato original run was 1974 to Oct 1979. Blue Noah ran from Oct 1979 to 1980... coincidence??? I think not.

今にして思えば、デスラー総統とザイテル総帥は西崎義展そのものだったりするなぁ…。西崎氏は心を作品に魅入られてしまったものかなぁ…? 西崎氏は宇宙戦艦ヤマトで大成果を収め挙げ、ヤマトとは全く違った別の路線で行こうとした作品(ブルーノアやスターライト、チルチルミチルの冒険旅行)やア○ルトアニメのうろ○き童子、YAMATO2520等とかなり、作品クオリティーに拘っていたせいで、製作現場を機能不全に追い込ましているからなぁ…。 しかし西崎氏は自らが手掛けた作品への愛情は本物だったかもしれないけど、それと引き換えに進むべき方向性や自身のあり方等を犠牲にして結果として全てダメにしてしまった…。

In the first episodes I thought Jrgens was only a simple villain.. but in the end he pilots their last ship to defend their home. Sort of makes him a bit heroic, even though he did a lot of terrible things to the people on earth.

There is an English dub for this episode, same as the others. Finding it may be very difficult. This version is fine. But I've got Blue Noah on DVD anyway so this version is now what I remember more than the dub.

How come only this episode have Japanese dub? Would love to watch the rest in Japanese dub as well. BTW, thanks for uploading this anime. Been a long time have I not watch this anime. Last I watch was back in the 80's.

ブルーノアの宇宙空母化されて、ポイントＮ９で乗員が増え護衛戦艦３隻率いてゴドムとの決戦。 ブルーノアの弱点は、シーラのあった位置にある反重力エンジン制御装置と戦闘ヘリバイソンのあった位置にある反重力エンジンだろうな！ 正月連休実家に帰ったら、LDBOXがあるから、１話から見直そうと思う。

他のアニメ作品なら敵ボスとの最終決戦で必殺技炸裂で敵四散で勝利がお約束、ヤマトやガンダムですらその軛から逃れられない中でのブルーノアでのゴドムの最期=政変による停戦・撤退の失敗で滅亡。このパターン、少なくとも1980年代迄のアニメでは皆無、現在迄でもあったとして数える程とも。 WW2モチーフのヤマトに対する現用艦モチーフメカだったり、ヤマトがどうしても持っていたテレビまんが的要素の払拭等の光る点も多々あったけど、とかくズレたノリ市場の脚本が全てを台なしにしてしまった作品。 類似的モチーフのアルペジオのスタッフとかの縛り無しリメイクとかやれば大化けする要素はもちあわせてはいた。

滅び行くゴドムの最期のあがきと、討ち減らされた地球の反撃の対比で生存競争する、滅亡テーマの古典SF風にリメイクするならワンチャンくらいはあるか？（放送当時、嫌いでは無かったのだよな） ダイラガー（此れも嫌いでは無かった）辺りと合わせて換骨奪胎するとか…。

ヤマトの成功が松本零士のデザインによるものだと云うことを証明する作品。西崎だけではブルーノアやその後に繋がるヤマトの続編の失敗が証明しているように脚本が優れていてもメカニカルデザインでは松本氏にはるかに及ばない事が災いして稚拙な作品に成り下がっている。 やっぱ宇宙戦艦ヤマト＝松本零士なのだ。 ヤマト復活編でブルーノアも復活してたのが笑える。
