Also before anyone claims I'm wrong, well not only do these two look alike when comparing Ash to Red's original design, but -both are from Pallet Town in Kanto, rival of Professor Oak's grandson, won't evolve their Pikachu, and Red's original name was Satoshi and was in other canons. Heck, Pokemon Yellow is Red's journey with a tad mix of Ash's journey.

The main problem with origins Red is that the mewtwo he faced was weaker than its anime counterpart. Mewtwo in the anime is one of the strongest pokemon in the verse having many better feats aswell. While Origins mewtwo is probably stronger than most of Ash's pokemon, i dont think it sways the battle too much in reds favour. It would be a tough battle but i think the result depends on whether Ash has access to every pokemon he has. If not, Red with his three legendary birds and mewtwo wins. otherwise I think Ash takes it

Mustard was an undefeated CHAMPION for 18yrs, not a Fighting type gym leader for 18yrs (he could have but the lore talks about Mustard being unbeatable as champion for 18yrs) and retired mainly because a promoter tried to fix a fight for him to win and he declined, stepping down.

I still think that Leon is stronger. Leon was so strong that he managed to weaken Eternatus enough to attempt the capture and he managed to tame Eternatus in the anime. Not to mention that Ash required 3 battle gimmicks in order to defeat Leon. So I think Leon is definitely stronger.

Ash has had such a canon bond with Lucario including before he caught his own Lucario making him one of if not his strongest pokemon. In general, his masters 8 team would be the strongest however if he were to swap out some weaker pokemon and swap them with his battle-bond goat (Ash-Greninja) and his super-saiyan goat (Infernape) then his team would probably be the in its strongest form possible. If some of the legendaries or sub-legendaries like ultrabeasts he traveled with and trained were included then you can even include pokemon like Solgaleo and Naganedle although Solgaleo was not officially caught. Even some previously used pseudo-legendaries that were not included such as his Gible, travel-companion Larvitar, and Goodra could have been brought back as references to previous seasons and additions to his strongest team but they gave him arguably one of the weakest pseudo-legendaries being Dragonite as part of his masters-8 team. Of course any pokemon could've been mega-evolved but due to his history with Lucarios and him now owning one it makes sense. Another battle-bond with Lucario could also make sense but since Greninja was introduced as the first and only battle-bond pokemon while also having a history to be a battle-bond pokemon, it makes this aspect almost entirely unique to itself even though it was stated to be possible for every pokemon. It's a shame they didn't add on to battle-bond but it might also be too hard to add as well as a unique aspect only meant for Ash and his Greninja. Edit: His ultra-powerful Primeape could also have been a prime addition to his team seeing as how it's one of if not his strongest Kanto pokemon (lore wise) as well as one of the strongest pokemon in the pokemon mma (in Kanto).
