Not always but yeah 90 percent of the time because some seasons have stronger villians like team plasma, team flare, head of team skull

Mistake about Cyndaquil... it never disobeyed him, nor did not want to use it's fire, it just took a while for it to get warmed up enough to get it's flame going. There was even a training arc where it learnt how after fighting a Skarmory. Cyndaquil was nonchalant yes, but needed time to cultivate it's talents. And yes, I remember this episode decades later because Cyndaquil was my favourites lol

What's worse: Ash's harsh talk towards Bayleef after she accidentally HURT HIM or Misty's constant verbal/physical abuse towards her Psyduck who loves her and wants her approval? Yeah, Paul was a 'jerk' (dude is my favorite Pokemon anime character) but he NEVER put his hands on his Pokemon like Misty did!

Those were other times where people back then wasn’t so sensitive as nowadays lol. There was even instances of physical abuse back then with how much Misty and other female character hit and punch male characters lmao

I believe Ash's stupidest mistakes happened during the Battle Frontier Arc. First when he had Pikachu use quick attack against Agatha's Gengar. Then during the actual competition when Ash had Charizard use seismic toss against Brandon's Dusclops.

Another mistake you missed... Is Ash, somehow, not understanding, when Pokemon were in love with each other, like with his own Grovyle/Sceptile, Dawn's Piplup, his own Oshawott, etc... Despite dealing with Brock and his own Chikorita/Bayleef all the time, and, even, falling in love himself one time and getting jealous over Misty, twice.

Well, regardless his mistakes in Johto, Ash can be excused to be a relatively rookie trainer for this point, making forgivable his mistakes. Unlike Unova arc, in that Ash was prone to commit rookie mistakes constantly, despite to be an experienced trainer to this point, making inconsistent and stupid that Ash revert back to a mediocre trainer without reason.

If you didn't notice in every Season up to Season 25 Team Rocket Trio Jessie James and Meowth always gets blasted off and ran away from being arrested by Officer Jenny. Instead, sometimes they were imprisoned by other evil teams like Team Galactic, etc. #JusticeforChikorita

The complaint about ash's team not being all full evolved is pretty valid this is a issue that lasted all the way until the xy anime believe it or not. Yes even his sinnoh team wasn't fully evolved buizel never evolved (likely cus it had a personality as the base form that the writers liked) and gible never evolved probably cus it joined so late. In Unova not all his mons evolved cus it was supposed to be the new kanto. In advanced I'm not really sure why just seems like bad writing.

In Pokemon Battle Frontiers in "Battling the Enemy Within." Brandon had made a very good point about a Pokemon trainer should always be on guard at all time against an enemy like Team Rocket or watch the surrounding area for any danger. But unforuntely Ash is not really intellegent like most trainers because he is always reckless, impatient and sometime don't listen to anyone or his friends warning which lead him to trouble without thinking. And Ash had let down his guards all the time when he's always fooled by Team Rocket's disguise just so they can steal his Pikachu.

Obviously Ash couldn't keep his broken mons forever, there needs to be stakes for important fights. But some of the writing around getting rid of his old mons is definatley questionable, johto is also pretty mid outside master quest. There's so much fucking filler bro. As for ash using bad matchups like grass vs bug it is dumb but it's a common thing even in modern anime, it's just in the newer ones ash has more strategy and doesn't do it as often, whereas in the old ones he's just kind dumb and there's no reason for it.
