This was so helpful, particularly shopping for beginner board shared by my wife and teens who are all smaller stature. 10'6 seems like a good safe bet.

By looking at how it wobbles on a water in this video, I wouldn't say this is stable enough board for a relaxation and having fun. 12.6" appears to be better in this discipline but that's a monster. Thanks for the review. It was on my check list, but now drops down. PS It's not flat enough at a bottom. It has a kayak shape being loaded.

How does it compare to the iRocker Cruiser? They both seem like such good boards, although the iRocker is triple layer, but is the same width for all lengths, whereas the Thurso gets narrower as you go down in length, and they pay attention to detail like a sturdier paddle, paddle clip for resting, etc. Decisions, decisions!

Hello, such a tremendous review and greatly appreciated in what can be a complicated buying process. As a beginner/intermediate SUP living on Long Island, where we would primarily go on the bay it can be a little choppy. Do you see the WW 126 being Able to manage 1 to 3 foot waves? Also, I have settled on the irocker cruiser ultra for my wife who is 5ft 2 and 140 and a beginner but very athlete if. Your review on these are incredibly helpful! Thank you.

I'm 5' 2", 110 lb. and have done lots of figure skating, so balance won't be a problem. I'm thinking the 10' would be good, but will I have trouble keeping up with group paddles? Also, I'd like to get a big dog one day (e.g. Retriever or Shepherd). Should I move up to the middle size, or just stay with the 10', since (like you said), it's narrower, and tracks better?
