What does it mean to be kingdom people? What is the nature of this kingdom? What is our responsibility to the world we find ourselves a part of? If Jesus is coming to bring His kingdom and to rule over the earth, can’t we just sit and wait for that to happen? As we consider this model prayer, especially the petition “Your kingdom come. Your will be done…,” we will seek to discover our responsibility as local representatives of the kingdom of God.

Jesus, hear my prayers because I am weak. Give me guidance. Please come back soon I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Father God it is you that gives me the strength to keep going. I praise you Father even as I fear homelessness please continue to give me strength.❤

This was everything and then some!! I called to the Lord for some help in peeling back the layers of this popularly memorized and recited prayer and he brought you to my KZbin feed (like right away!) Yes, Praise God!! Yes, we have this prayer memorized but do we understand who we’re calling to (The Holy King), what we’re asking for (your kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven) and do we understand that we don’t have the right to ask for forgiveness if we can’t forgive??? And there’s so much more!! How useful are we to the Kingdom? Are we truly united when we call out to “Our Father”? You’ve got me hyped, Pastor Skip!! To God be the Glory! I was at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and an older man was selected to close the meeting. He began reciting The Lord's Prayer and the room erupted in cursing and yelling. The man walked out. I stayed but I never went back to NA.

The Lord chose to Co-Labor with His Bride Who in Communion (Strongs Conc.,Koinonia/Intercorse) as One in Him, would walk-through us on earth as it is in heaven! His Body grows up into the Head, which is Christ. This is a beautiful love story and Marriage made in heaven! If the Kingdom hasn’t come, then we’re all going to hell now.

The Kingdom of God draws near in the coming of the incarnate Word .It is announced in the Gospel. It is the messianic Kingdom, present in the person of Jesus, the Messiah. Christ gave to his apostles the work of proclaiming the Kingdom, and through the Holy Spirit forms his people into a priestly Kingdom, the Church, in which the Kingdom of God is mysteriously present, for she is the seed and beginning of the Kingdom on earth. In the Lord's Prayer (thy kingdom come) we pray for it's final glorious appearance, when Christ will hand over the Kingdom to his Father.

I have a 'church associate' who is a post-millennial and he believes that the world will go to custard before Christ returns. That aside, since our last in-depth discussion when I said why I'm a pre-millenialist because 'the Millennial reign of Christ' is yet to happen, 'show me a history as to when the Millennium happened', we talk a little bit less. It's simple, The Millennium is yet to happen and it's a definable time span of, surprisingly, a thousand years.

many doesn't understand Jesus returning. he never said that he will physically come back to get his followers, he doesn't need to. his return, meant just as he had led his Apostles, when he was here. he will return by means of sending his father's HS. in other words, Jesus will still be leading his followers, from Heaven. Jesus right now is seated at the right hand of God, his Father. which contradicts a "trinity" or "3-in-1 god." *Psa. 110:1 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” the *LORD* represents the Almighty God Jehovah.

You know that Jesus Christ does not listen to prayers without addressing his GOD the FATHER 'YAHWEH' We begin the prayer with GOD the FATHER YAHWEH and do not ask for the HOLY SPIRIT and we end the prayer in the name of his Son Jesus Christ . It is GOD the FATHER who decides and it is not God the Son, everything goes through God the Son who plays the intermediary between GOD the FATHER YAHWEH and the believers. yes, if we truly love and believe Jesus's words. then we would know that he doesn't take anything from his father. Jehovah God/ Yahweh is perfect, we're imperfect. just as those in ancient times needed a sacrificial Lamb. as a mediator between Jehovah and themselves. so did we need his son Jesus for that same purpose, and more. as you said Praise Jah!

Jesus and John the Baptist preached that the kingdom was at hand and in Mark 9:1 Jesus says, " there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom come with power". Matt 16:28 Jesus says, " Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death BEFORE THEY SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM". So, when did the power come? when the power came the kingdom came. Acts 1:8 Jesus says to his apostles, " But YOU SHALL RECEIVE POWER WHEN THE HS HAS COME UPON YOU" and this happens in Acts 2, the power came and so did the kingdom, the church. It is a spiritual kingdom not an earthly kingdom. Remember in Matt 16:18-19 Jesus told Peter he would be given the keys to the kingdom and again this happens in Acts 2 when Peter preaches the first gospel sermon, the DBR of Christ. Now, look how the kingdom is talked about after Acts 2, it is no longer at hand, but spoken as being here. Col 1:13 " He has delivered us from the power of darkness AND TRANSFERRED US TO THE KINGDOM OF HIS BELOVED SON". Heb 12: 28 " let us be grateful for RECEIVING A KINGDOM THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN". So, the kingdom is here, the kingdom Jesus setup on earth is his church. Also Matt 24 talks of the destruction of Jerusalem, nothing to do about a kingdom.

It's funny how Skip said that it should be called the disciple's prayer, but in the same breath he called it the Lord's prayer. I just call it the Our Father.

There is no scripture that says Christ will setup a literal kingdom here on earth, in 1 Peter says when he comes back this world will be destroyed by fire. Jesus is already ruling, he is at the right hand of the Father ruling now

I dug down to the Rock of the Foundation, placed the Cornerstone, and built all accordingly to the instructions. I have become, unbeatable in the pro head covering teaching. One respected pastor in Albuquerque told a lady that he prayed house toxins away for her, and she reatrded, and killed saints as a result!, thinking she did a service to God. In other words, justification by works of the law: “For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them."” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭10 so let me ask you: do you follow every single commandment? Because if you don’t, you’re living under a curse: no better than the judaizers that Paul warned of in Galatians who perverted the Gospel of Christ.
