Now show it when you just do root(5). This does not work if you do that.

Hmm.. It works on my calculator, are you getting a syntax error? If so, its probably because you have to either type in root(5), press enter AND THEN press the key (the one above the enter key) or you need to enter root(5) and then press the right arrow key on the directional pad, and then press the key and then press enter.
