New to your channel, fantatsic you got that for so little, good spec, silver trim and clear glass! I'm in Wiltshire/near Swindon and luckily have a small VAG specialist round the corner I can take my b7 to. Amazing cars, I've had mine around a year and lots of work done but drives amazingly now, like you just looking for my noise now! Good luck with the b7, I'd recommend getting a ODB reader (rosstech one is very good) and the VCDS software so you can diagnose fault codes as and when you have them.

Hey thanks for taking the time to write such a long reply! Thanks for the tip, I've got a few OBD readers so all ok on that front, it's the more in depth mechanical jobs I'm after a local specialist for, as well as a tune and carbon clean. Great to hear from another local owner too.

I've had my saloon from new black 2006. As you eluded I'm reluctant to put the miles on it. Perhaps because it's only 18300 miles😢 must do miltek cat back and mrc stage 1. Has a full Audi service history but will probably take it to REP in future

Hi Paul, thanks for taking the time to comment, wow!! Never sell that car! To be honest if mine only had 18K miles on I wouldn't drive it either! Yes I think RE is the way forward!

Nice car I always wanted a B7, I am not sure I have ever told you how many VAG cars I have had. You might have seen in my car that the dials on the virtual cockpit are in analogue mode. I don't like many of the newer Audi cockpit settings. Look forward to seeing more Ti22 and I will see you soon.

I'm a little older than you and the B7 RS4 (saloon) has always been my dream daily car but always (until now) out of reach for me, financially. Sadly, I average 12k to 15k miles a year and the potentially high running costs have always scared me off (ie: Low MPG figures, 2k for new brakes, etc) I agree about Audi build quality being at its best back then. I currently own a 2015 B8.5 S4 saloon and the build quality is fabulous....and better than the newer B9 - IMO.

B8.5 isn't a bad place to be!

Wow you absolutely stole that one on that price tag. I bought myself a Misano red sedan with wayyy more money than that about 4 months ago. Although cars are crazy expensive where I live, but even if you compare that to German market that is insanely cheap. Mine was pretty much in mint condition though with wingback seats and KW V1 suspension. On those wingbacks being uncomfortable, they are really nice to sit in, they really hug you in that seat, but getting in and out of them is kinda annoying, it keeps reminding me that I'm not a young lad anymore. 😄But they do feel nice once you get in them and I haven't had any problems with them even on longer trips and I have horrible back. Although, I'm 180cm long and around 85 kilos, if you are any bigger than me, then those seats might feel a bit too tight. But I definitely do love those seats. I don't daily drive that, so I can live with them being annoying to climb in and out of. 😄 I have Gyeon coating on mine and I definitely can recommend that one. It makes the color to really pop and it is so easy to clean with it, all the dirt just slides off. I also have PPF on the most crucial spots. On the exhaust, I have cutoffs on the stock exhaust which are controlled by remote control. I have heard some with aftermarket exhausts and some of them makes the sound a bit too high pitched for my taste, it kinda changes the character of the sound. Those cutoffs keeps the natural character, it just makes it noisier, but not too much, you can comfortably cruise with those open without your ears hurting. And if you don't want to annoy your neighbors you can just close them with the remote when you're arriving home. But we all have our preferences, so maybe that more high pitched sound is for you. 😊 And I do agree that this car is really the perfect size, it doesn't feel too heavy, but it is large enough to make it feel more stable. Build quality on these is just so lovely. I mean it is almost 20 years old car and there is pretty much no wear and tear anywhere. Although I do have new leather on the steering wheel and shifter. They don't make cars like this anymore, even Audis. People who say that these understeer obviously have never driven one. The front end grip on these is just insane and that rear-biased Quattro makes a huge difference. I actually lost the rear end on this when I first drove it on the rain by having a bit too aggressive corner exit. 😄 Nothing too dramatic, just a slight drift which was easy to control, but coming from other Audis that has never happened to me before. I live in Scandinavia and I can confirm that this is just a weapon on snow. Like I said, not a hint of understeer, just some lovely controllable oversteer. This is one of the reason why I love this car so much, you get that almost supercar level performance with daily driver level of usability. This is just so awesome machine all around, I don't think I can never sell mine if I don't absolutely have to. And these don't lost value anymore which is a huge plus. Have fun with yours!
