Those old-timers are really weird and strange ,like coming form another dimension .... -))) Thanks for sharing , I've never used them or even ever seen them. But good to know about it , just in the case I meat them on my road to utlim-automation . -))))

I have never noticed that happened but thanks i will definitely check it out. And thanks for the videos they have really helped me advance my Siemens plc knowledge

Thanks for this. I started a program where we're learning some PLC programming... and the professor wants us to use these timers. I've only ever used IEC timers before and it's just a lot more intuitive to use the function blocks. I imagine the only reason we use these is because the curriculum is like 20 years old

They had a great use in 300 when you wanted to add an timer to a running FB without needing to download the insurance DB. As a hack it was great. Probably still applies to 1500.

I would rather see video with something new that we can use than outdated timers. I know that you are trying to explain them because they are there, but it will be more beneficial for us to see maybe some motion videos or something with encoder. That's just my opinion. Thanks for all great videos.

09:37 Wow this was you rant on Legacy S7-Timer, you really hate them. However came up with this timer must burn in hell ha ha ha but good point from your side. S7-300 was when Siemens lost me in programming, found it very weird, in contrast Rockwell PLC were quite more easy and straight forward. Now with TIA portal 17 I am back at Siemens.

Sir, can u please do a video on first in first out in TIA

Sometimes its easier to use s5 Timers on s7-300 as there are no Resets for IEC Timers like they are in s7-1500, but nonetheless I usually work around that and use IEC instead. For me the notations SI, SV, SE, SS, SA are also not that intuitive.
@hegamurl74343 жыл бұрын
There are resets for IEC timers. But they have to be implemented with an additional FB (don't have the number and name right now, but they exist of course)... Notation and intuitivity are of course a topic, I agree
@alterschwede58313 жыл бұрын
@@hegamurl7434 Hmm thanks, but haven't found any information about that. Its no problem for me though, I can still do everything with IEC's and they are way more intuitive. :-)
