Just a footnote about John Amos: I recently watched his long-form interview with the Television Academy here on KZbin. He said what he actually complained about was the amount of focus given to the character of JJ as opposed to the daughter who had aspirations of being a doctor & the youngest son who was a budding activist. He felt as much attention should be paid to the kids with solid aspirations, dreams & goals to rise above their socio-economic situation as to what he felt was the cartoonish character of JJ. He also confessed he wasn't exactly diplomatic in expressing his dissatisfaction at the time. I never thought the show was the same without him. (ps - I have always loved both Jackee and Loretta Devine & this show did not disappoint, thank you for it!)

Great get, I was expecting to see Jackee but not Loretta lol. Great video, probably the best video uploaded on this channel yet. I loved how they gave real advice, facts, and were also funny as hell during the whole video too LMAO! I never watched Family Reunion (Don't have Netflix) but I've seen Loretta Devine in so many freaking movies lol. Sister Sister has always been one of my favorite TV shows, and I really loved Jackee on that show. I think my favorite TV mom is Harriet Winslow from Family Matters, but Lisa Landry from Sister Sister is a close second. The 90's will always have the best TV shows, and I'm glad I'm getting more and more on DVD to watch them again (Sister Sister included, and I still think Ray and Lisa should of ended up together) As an adult, they all still hold up. I also still think it's crazy they won't reboot Sister Sister mainly for the fact that everyone is literally remaking or rebooting every 80's and 90's show they can right now. Sister Sister is one of the most popular TV shows from the 90's, so that will never add up to me. Nothing like the OG anyway.

Thanks soo much Tia! I really appreciate and love 💘 what you did with the Q&A with your television moms. Didn't know alot of these questions and answers. They are both beautiful, strong and intelligent black women ❤ ♥ 💖. Thanks for the black history moment.
