I Used Cécred for an Entire Month | A Review of Each Product

Thank you so much for using both shampoos. I've watched so many use one and not the other when one shampoo is meant to cleanse and the other is to restore everything that was taken out with the cleansing shampoo. Also for knowing that the moisturizing and the restorative conditioner does two different things. And for using it for 30 days. I don't feel anyone can give an accurate review using a product just once. Thank you your review, it was amazing

You were saying it right: hydration comes from water. Moisture comes from oil. So you need hydration (and humectant) to have properly moisturized hair.

@@candi1904 You're both correct.Yes, oil does not moisturise but it does act as a humectant as they said. Their wording was just off. Moisture doesn't come from oil, but once you've sealed in hydration, you now are moisturised. The oil just maintains the hydration for the long term (moisture). Not sure if that made sense. It should also be noted that there ARE moisturising oils that are not at all humectants

​@candi1904 Your skin and hair need two things to feel hydrated: water and fat. Water is water and oil is the fat. Women used to use beef or pork fat on their face and hair to make it soft, but now they use oils and butters, which are vegetable fats.

Hydration and Moisture come from water, or humectants. Conditioning comes from oils and emollients. How much moisture in your hair is dependent on the relative humidity of the room you are in. It is actually when our hair has more moisture in it do we call it “dry” because it looks stiff and dull. When we say we need to moisturize our hair, what we actually mean is “condition” it. Hair and skin are two completely different things. Your hair is dead. Your skin is alive. Hair does NOT need humectants! It needs emollients and conditioning ingredients.

I think all of the products help with stopping hair shedding. I just started using the shampoos, hydrating conditioner and hair oil. My hair has definitely stopped shedding as much.

This is, hands down, the most comprehensive and the BEST product review of the Cécred products. I appreciate the fact that you committed to using the line for at least 4 weeks in order to really determine what works and what doesn't (I personally give any new hair product I'm trying out at least 4-6 weeks to see how my hair responds to it, because judging after one use just isn't realistic)... After going through their website and reading the ingredients lists, I'm actually open to trying out some products from the line at some point in the future (it isn't readily available in my home country and the currency difference would require spending thousands of dollars to actually buy it). But apart from the price tag (judging from the ingredients alone) I'm actually very impressed with the line. I feel like it's important for people to use what works for their hair and see HOW to use those products in a manner that works for them (eg. using a steamer or hooded hair dryer to help the deep conditioner to better penetrate the hair follicles), and not judge something they haven't used based on what someone says (what works for you won't work for everyone). All in all, I really enjoyed your review, and your content in general. ♥️

I actually found this brand on accident, and I ended up pleasantly surprised that its' Beyonce. Everything smells great and feels great on my hair and scalp. I would recommend giving it a try, I haven't liked any haircare this much in a while. I also naturally have 3b/3c hair, but right now my hair is chemically straightened.
