Overcoming tibial torsion pain, or any pain for that matter, does involve a healthy dose of mental and behavioral modification. Billy does a great job of explaining that it's not just the Postural Restoration techniques that make the difference, it's also your mindset.
He also mentions how his past experiences with Feldenkrais and Somatics helped set the stage for success with a PRI program.
Prolonged periods of pain take a mental toll, as you get angry at your body. But restoring proper movement patterns that resolve nagging aches and pains requires you to "let go" of the emotional baggage. If you can't relax, if you stay tense, resolution will be more difficult to attain.
Hey there, my name is Neal Hallinan.
The purpose of this channel is to help people understand and resolve chronic muscular and joint pain, primarily through the discipline of Postural Restoration.
As someone who lived with chronic pain for many years of my life, I know how debilitating and isolating it can be. But I also know it can be resolved.
I hold the following credentials:

It's funny the guest mentioned Magic Eye. I was looking into that 2 days ago to see if it would work eye divergence, as Neil's computer and convergent video was revelatory and I'm extremely grateful for. As for I am for Neil and PRI. Kinda annoyed here at the same time (the kind with a smirk) that this is the first I heard of the letting go of it all. Maybe an abuse of the word, but if these techniques needed to be more "Zen" then that should be promoted at greater length here and by my PRI instructor for 6 Mos now. I'm wrestling a wolverine has been my mindset. The very same temperamental mode that "helped create" my problem apparently. I'M currently going backwards. I'm rigid whole body now. The 90/90 is full of 6 pack abs and neck strain/breathing, cannot get my ribcage down. Just get more fretful, and the pain if present feeds into the sympathetic response of it all and apparently "my failure". It must be mentioned though I'm fairly sure my eyesight is wrecking all attempts at success and I hope to visit Nebraska shortly. Will definitely TRY and NOT TRY simultaneously, better though.

This is my cue to every client I work with: "put less effort into it". Completely counterintuitive, but that's how it works.

When I bend forward (as if I'm going to touch my toes) my obliques and hips rotate to the right. I also have piriformis syndrome in my left glute/leg. What does this mean and are these two things connected?
