Ive got excess tibial torsion at 42 degrees and a surgeon suggested to do an osteotomy to fix it because i have knee and Achilles pain. Good to know im not alone in this.

What I still don't understand is that my right foot internally rotates more and I have a knee valgus on my right side but I still have all the symptoms of a right side dominance. But my right foot is flatter. Its strange.

A - A - RON that can happen. I was only describing the most typical compensation

Mine is flat but rotates more outward

Same internal femur external tibia then the foot is collapsed probably as an attempt to leave the right.

So it is important to do the four exercises from your website with proper shoes on to help sense the arch in your foot? I've been doing the exercises religiously for the last 4-6 weeks, and I believe that I'm doing them properly (I feel all the muscles I'm supposed to be feeling), but I haven't seen any results, so my hope is that by wearing proper shoes during the exercises could make an impact.

It really depends on the person. People are different so there is no one single answer. There are a multitude of reasons why someone may not feel any benefit, that's why true programming requires the help of a PRI professional.

When you talk about pathologies in other videos, is PRI techniques still effective? Also when adding a paper towel to my right arch my discomfort increases on the left side (hip/inner tight), I feel I can switch to my left side but I think I m not stable/neutral enough, could this be possible?
@NealHallinan4 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are still effective. Don't use the paper towel if it causes pain. It's not meant as a long term solution.

great video! I have watched it a few times but still don't understand what the resolution was for him. can anyone point it out for me? thanks

He worked with me online doing Postural Restoration. There is no one exercise. It was a complete program.

Are all tibial torsions a result of patterns or the bone being stuck? My left side has external tibial torsion as well as femoral anteversion. I ran in hs and college, and have done 50 marathons, but I started feeling back and later hip pain after doing Ironman triathlons in the 1980s. Been trying to fix things since then. Sometimes the foot externally rotates more than other times. I assume I was born with this.

marathonnh my belief is that most are due to “patterns” that develop through our teenage/young adult years, but I’m sure some are truly structural in nature and not due to compensation
@quintessential51454 жыл бұрын
Is this the pattern that also caused a right fallen arch? I have been wanting to solve this issue all my life!
@NealHallinan4 жыл бұрын
From my experience, a fallen right arch is a sign of extra compensation going on, or some sort of "pathology", such as that encountered in a Patho PEC.

@@NealHallinan amazing, have you seen this ever reverse in one way or another?
