Always loved that pic taken behind the kit of Criss looking out of the corner of his eye. That pic was in the 75 Tour book. You should get Lydia's book if you don't already have it ,its got ton's of great pics and stories.

Fookin hell mate! Brian, does there exist (in this galaxy) a "list" of some of tour favorite stuff? I'm talking the albums that are carved-in-marble favorites? I'm sure we would all love that. Cheers 🍻

You mean albums, or drums on albums ? I love all Zep the most , and prob Physical Graffiti for drum tones … I love all DLR era VH, Rush , etc.. I love James Brown and Meshuggah and Pantera , and Neil Young… Aerosmith, ACDC , etc.. so much great music out there !

Hi Brian. Love everything about this video. I had that Zep poster (since about 1982) ! It either fell apart eventually, or it's somewhere in storage.

Should I put more photos in of the drums? I can’t make the photos be faster in IMovie on my phone , but a friend said it would be cool to add more cool drum angles ..????

You did a great job as it is there I think. You can see everything pretty well. Beautiful, spacious room. I wonder how your neighbours feel about the noise? You may be in a secluded area but I'm sure someone can hear it. They probaly don't mind, I imagine. Not like they're hearing a beginner's racket ha ha. I'd love to move my drumsupstairs in my house but fear they'd be too noisy. Great sounding tracks though and I love your pictures of the greats there.

Personally as a drummer myself recording at home, I love seeing the pictures of the drums (especially the green luddies) and the different angles so I can see the mic set up, room mic’s etc. I’m a geek that way and I love the sounds you get on your recordings.

@@JanPatrickLucas thanks! I will take more close up photos and add them in ! I too love seeing behind the kit photos for small details 👍🏼🥁

@@Briantichydrums By "pictures of the greats" I was actually referring to Alex, John, Peter and Zeppelin BUT indeed your kits and set ups are great! The other gentleman who replied will be happy if you added more of the kit photos, referring to his commnet. Thanks for replying Brian.

@@tweevers2 haha! The tracks are stuff I’ve done the past couple months including something from the Schenker which I recorded here in 2023. But yeah , just a little representation of stuff I do here.. the Peart stuff, a client hired me to cover that , and the Who groove (Eminence) and also Genesis “Turn it on”.. so it’s alll there .. 👍🏼🥁

Brian, do you have your overhead microphones equidistant from your snare drum? If not, do you have any phase issues?
@Briantichydrums21 сағат бұрын
Good questing, I have and I haven’t .. most of the time I don’t. The green kit is now in a new location and I’m still tweaking stuff. I think I had a phase issue on one track , moved the hat OH a little and it fixed it .. and if you like the sound you’re getting where the are at , just flip the polarity on the preamp . It’s all trial and error !🥁👍🏼
@ccdrums129020 сағат бұрын
@@Briantichydrumsthank you for answering my question. I am tweaking things as well in my room, looking for the optimum overhead position. I will do as you suggest. 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
@Briantichydrums19 сағат бұрын
@ but yes , phase issues suck and you seats have to check , but at least when u detect it you can flip the polarity !

are your neighbors nearby? You are on the first floor. I'm prepping my basement area, and was concerned about volume level outside before I do big acoustical projects.
