There's times when it's necessary, then there's times when it's not, for an example, where i work, they were laying new asphalt, in a four way intersection, somehow this person who pulls up on the opposite side of the intersection that was ether impatient or missing the common sense to find an alternative rout, though blaring the horn at the paver line would make it go faster, i was laughing but shaking my head at the same time.

It's illegal to have a phone in your hand while behind the wheel (stopped at a red light or not) in Georgia. The majority of drivers I see are doing it anyway. They do not care. Texting, talking and Social Media take priority over the safety of others and anything else. I see them looking at their phone and laughing at what someone posted or texted them everyday while I'm walking. I see people walking looking down at their device and never looking up to see where they are going. Their device is always in their hand like it's sewn there. The thing that is really puzzling to me is people talking on their phone while they are on the toilet. They can't put it down for anything.

Well my friend the reason everyone is texting at lights in Flordia. Is because of that new law. The morons that made the law said you could not text while driving. Oh man, one time I was the second car at the light and the guy ahead of me was texting on his phone. Halfway through the red light, my stomach made THE RUMBLE. Then I started getting the shit sweats. There was a McDonald's right across the intersection, so I figured, "Okay, I can make it 5 more seconds we're gold(en arches)!" When that fucker sat through the ENTIRE NEXT GREEN LIGHT, you're damn right I laid on the horn. After the light turned green again, he saw me pull into the parking lot, turned around, followed me, got out of his car with the intent to express his displeasure, and all I said, real quick, was, "DUDE! I GOTTA TAKE A SHIT! WE'LL ARGUE LATER!" and ran inside. I made it JUST IN TIME. My ass didn't even hit the seat before the Flood of Gomorrah hit the toilet bowl. When I walked back to my car, the young guy apologized! We fist-bumped and went on our way.

Hey Big Vic , let me help you out with this. There are three groups of drivers out there : The good,the bad and the ugly . #1. The bad : these are the people who just don't know how to drive; they don't know how to get on or off a highway,merge,change lanes,speed up or slow down when they should, they can't park nor pull out of a parking spot,they don't know how to go with the flow of traffic, they slam on their breaks for yellow lights,they don't know how to keep their vehicles in their own lanes ,they can't drive in bad weather, they follow to close or to far back,they don't know how to use their mirrors, they tend to have a death grip on the steering wheel, they hit things with the passenger side of their vehicles ,they cause accidents behind them because they are unaware that there is traffic behind them,because they are afraid to look in their mirrors,they get rear-ended by vehicles behind them when they stop without any warning for unknown reasons like they are lost or they decide to be courteous to vehicles on cross streets ,they often have vision issues or they have never learned to look ahead of themselves more then five feet.These types of drivers tend to drive the speed limit,despite the fact that all the other traffic is having to change lanes to get around them ,which could easily be called impeding traffic,these are the most dangerous drivers on the road today .Why ? Because they don't know how to use common sense. #2. The ugly : These drivers just don't care about anything but what is going on in their little world, they tend to have a chip on their shoulder,they have regular road rage issues on a daily basis, this type will also drive slower then the speed limit do to holding a cell phone to their ear ,all the while holding up traffic in the left lane and often they do alot of wondering about in their lane,this type also likes to drive very aggressive and whip in and out of traffic, changing lanes constantly and cutting other drivers off and then flipping them the bird because they had to swerve around them, they have no class, they have no concern for others, this type is dangerous as well as the bad drivers,this type will tend to use their horn alot,this type is a road hog and a parking space hog ,this type doesn't know how to use their turn signals ,this type is also the type that is more concerned with facebook and their social life then with their driving ,this type is also known to hit and run, this type tends to blast threw stop signs and even run red lights if they are in a hurry , all of their driving habbits are a reflection of how much of a self-centered of a person that they are.These people tend to be ugly on the inside and sometimes on the outside as well. #3. The Good : this type of driver tends to pay attention to all of their surroundings all of the time and they tend to spend alot of effort avoiding the bad and the ugly drivers,who seem to be everywhere these days . This driver knows when to be aggressive and when to mellow out. This type is always looking out for threats from bad weather, to road hazards ,to hazardous drivers,to other drivers in need of help. This type of driver has good eye hand coordination and good distance perception as well as good speed judgement of other vehicles. This driver is courteous, but not overly courteous(you snooze-you loose). This driver tends to use common sense when driving , like staying away from large trucks and when they pass a truck ,they don't waste time getting it done safely and then continuing on to get further away from the large vehicles,. This type doesn't drive in peoples blind spots for very long,because they are away of the danger. This driver does not panic when the light turns yellow ,but they do tend to make a quick decision about whether or not to stop or if there is time to make the yellow light or if there isn't time and distance to make the yellow light. Many more good things can be said about this type of driver. I hope this helps with finding things to rant about other driver's ; i consider myself a very skilled driver and the reason for that is how i was trained. I was taught that professional driving was like being in combat and if you let your guard down, your dead . It was very effective training ,along with the drill sergeant type yelling i had to endure while driving in very stressful circumstances. I couldn't be more thankful for that training,thirty years ago and millions of miles ago and no accidents. I have seen thousands of accidents ,many of which were fatalities and all i can say to people about driving is ; stay frosty or you might not make it to where you are going .

Texting While Driving (TWD) should be treated the same as drinking and driving because texting is now the number one cause of deaths in vehicles. Give the cops Go Pro cameras so they can videotape the texting drivers. BINGO - they just won the case when it goes to court. Pull the vehicle over, get the driver out of their car. Seize and impound the driver's phone as evidence. Handcuff the driver and put them in the back of the police car. Take the texting driver to the police station to be booked, fingerprinted and photographed for their mug shots and throw them in a jail cell for a while until a judge releases them with a court appearance ticket. The prosecutor will easily convict the texting driver at trial. Suspend the driver's license 90 days for a first offense. Revoke their license for a second texting conviction which will be a felony if two convictions within ten years. Texting while driving will plummet and thousands of lives will be saved.

I drive a semi truck every day. I can look down inside cars and I can see that 8 out of 10 people are looking or texting while driving. Some even are working lap tops. Wow. Every other day there is a rear end collision in rush hour traffic on the expressway most likely due because someone was looking at their phone.
