For you young folks out there; instead of jumping from one discord to another looking for the best stocks to buy, heed the advice in this video. 50-70% of your money should be in etfs. Alex, c’mon. Seriously…..Qualcomm is a small speculative company? Please tell me how on Earth you arrived at this conclusion? QCOM is currently the leader in ARM-based chip design for computing at the edge and on-device AI; it has a long and well established history with an enviable patent portfolio, is a leader in chip sets for autos and the IOT, and has a market cap of over 200 billion. How is this speculative?

Yes PLTR is definitely a great company I was looking at their income/financial statements and they actually have enough cash flow then they do debt so basically can pay off their debt and still have money left over they aren’t many companies at all that can actually do that so I’m very bullish long term on PLTR the only red flag w PLTR is they diluted shares when they really didn’t have to companies do that when they need more cash to grow the business but nothing too serious though

I have had CrowdStrike on my watchlist for some time. @@TickerSymbolYOU ​If you think they will continue to outperform, wouldn't it be wiser to pick the stocks instead of buying the ETFs that have the same stocks as top holdings? Diversification via these ETFs spreads risk across multiple assets, while rebuying the top holdings of these ETFs creates concentration and increases exposure to a few stocks, potentially reducing risk-adjusted returns and diversification of your portfolio. If you're already exposed to these big tech firms through QQQM, allocating additional funds to them individually can limit your exposure to other growth opportunities. I am sharing what I read in different investment books over the years, it is generally said that the redundancy occurs when multiple assets in your portfolio provide the same exposure, reducing diversification. And it is mostly suggested against. Do you disagree?

I don’t disagree but it becomes risk vs reward. Am I confident I can always pick the best (and only the best) stocks? No. So the indexes keep me diversified while being exposed to the companies I care about. Especially QQQ and SMH. Then, when I’m SURE about a company (NVDA etc) I’ll add even more exposure beyond the ETFs. Does that make sense? Ninja edit: I also tend to diversify among asset classes, not within them. Private equity, real estate, bitcoin, etc.
