"Tics, Stims; Joey & Our System" 🖤
Having Autism Spectrum Disorder, being diagnosed almost 5 years ago it still is something we struggle with accepting.
It's a topic that is pretty sensitive and emotional for us due to certain things that have happened, but Joey really wanted to talk a bit about his tics and stims, something that is way more obvious in him than in other alters.
No matter who you are, what you have been told .. you are not broken, just because you function differently 🥺🖤 ~ Joey & Isa

You all should feel safe enough to be yourselves. You're all amazing and so unique. I hope things get easier for you. 🌻

None of you should ever feel like you are broken or are a problem & def should never feel like you need to hide! To Joey: I'm proud of you, you did so well!! The tics, stammer & stims are part of what makes you who you are. I, for one, love the hell out of you young man! The same goes for the rest of the system as well. I, & so many others, love you ALL!

Thank you so so much. I was just informally diagnosed at 21, but my family doesn't think I am "Autistic enough" to bother actually spending money or time formally diagnosing. I also dissociate and struggle to cope with PTSD and different personalities since childhood, although I've never been tested to get clinical names for those either. But I think Joey and I would be great friends (Frankly I think all of you are just fab in your own beautiful ways.) and we could Sitm together and let our echolalia run wild, and just be happy to be our unfiltered selves. Thank you for being you, It allows me to be me.

Joey is not a problem, anyone who says that needs a major lesson in patience and understanding Its not Joey, its them, they project their issues onto him Joey is an amazing person! Its okay to stim and have tics its not like he can help it and people who dont get that are just toxic and not worth the time Theres so many other people who will understand, have patience and not force you to be something conventient for them Remember you only have to make yourselves happy not other people, dont care what they think, you got an army hang with who respect you 🖤🧡

Bless you Joey. I also have autism, ADD, dissociative disorder , CPTSD and awaiting assessment for DID. I got diagnosis recently aged 58 with autism but there isn’t really any ongoing support . You’re just left to get on with it and find out how it affects you yourself. Not good . There isn’t the funding for hidden disabilities

Autism is not scary at all when you learn more about it! I've been teaching kids with autism for years! You are clearly high functioning. If you can, please read something by Temple Grandin. She's autistic, and has written several books about her life and way of thinking. :)

Hey. I am new to the channel. And I can’t say I know your situation in the slightest. It’s so fascinating how each or the persons within your entity can be so vastly different from eachother. I want to say that Joey you the man. I know live is difficult and I have my own hard experience that effected me. I hope that the lot of you all live happy existences.

I got diagnosed with Autism when I was 12, I'm 18 now- so I know where you guys are coming from. But being autistic is just a part of who you are, I know that might not mean much coming from a stranger on the internet- but with time I think you will come to accept it as part of who you are. I wouldn't change who I am, and being autistic is a part of me whether I like it or not. I struggle a lot with PTSD, and my chronic illness.. amongst many other things that I find hard to talk about, but it will get better. It makes me happy to see the world getting more educated about mental health, I have been trying to do my part in small ways to educate people on some of the things I suffer with, and I'm glad you're all doing the same. Overtime you come to learn that other peoples' views of you really don't matter, as long as you say true to yourself- which is difficult to come to terms with, I have very extreme anxiety so it's something I've been struggling to accept for a while, but it's the truth. I hope things improve for you all, wishing you the best! ♡

You guys having a cat persecutor and being diagnosed is SO validating for me like..... we’ve got one and she’s so awful to me specifically and the reason we HAVE one is because I (the “core”) am also autistic and hyperfixated on cats, so the way my brain could process the incredible trauma I was going through was by creating a pretend cat to be mean to me 🙃 This is an incredible oversimplification of my experience but in short yeah. Slay existing makes me feel so much better and I love your content, it makes me feel so loved and seen.

I (autistic singlet) have the same tendency to repeat/get stuck on sounds but I only do it internally when I decide to let myself. I physically can speak like a neurotypical so I've masked it ever since I can remember (like I rediscovered what was natural to me accidentally as a teenager) because we're taught to speak/act like neurotypicals. Maybe one day I'll have the courage to show others my natural voice. Like you are Joey
