I pledged to the Kickstarter campaign for the Tic Watch E. Received it yesterday and I personally like it. This is my first Android Wear device coming from the Pebble Time. Only issue I do have is the price. Should have been around $99 in my opinion. But I like it because it's light weight and I'm into working out and I'm not too afraid of scuffing plastic over ceramic or metal. Anyway great review as always!

+Andres Perez for me it's an easy choice. I love my Amazfit Pace. Right now it's on sale at Gearbest for $89, and at that price it's a no brainier. goo.gl/6zL2T1 Obviously you lose the apps on the Amazfit Pace, but for battery life, daytime visibility, and more premium design I just prefer the Amazfit Pace. The Ticwatch E is a good watch if you care more about the smartwatch features and less about the fitness tracking (though the GPS on the Ticwatch E has been spot on so far).

+Nandu Pillai depends. If accurate fitness tracking is a priority, then the Ticwatch E is the way to go. The Ticwatch 2 does a decent job, but the GPS tracking can be inconsistent at times. If a premium design is more important, then go with the Ticwatch 2. Also, if you want the flexibility of adding apps, then the Ticwatch E definitely has the edge there as well.

Looks good but the fact that it's a plastic case is a worry . I use to have an old Casio and plastic eventually breaks through wear then it's only any good if you can get a new case . The ticwatch 2 I have is an alloy case which will last years and wireless charging is excellent . I'm concerned about the limited android wear apps as I understand it cant play videos etc which you can on android . Overall looks good though and I'd imagine the ok Google function adds a lot of benefits.

+jaithra reddy yeah, it looks and feels pretty cheap TBH. As for the standby time, I'm not 100% sure on that one. The battery has consistently given me 36 hrs (with heavy usage). With lighter usage it could make it two days, but probably not more than that.

+YY Patrick Li on most Bluetooth devices you have to hold down the power button for an extended amount of time to put it in pairing mode (generally they have a blinking red and blue light to show that the headphones are in pairing mode). My guess is that you are turning them on, but not putting them in pairing mode, which is necessary to connect them to any device for the first time.

Are the messages just not going to the watch from your phone? If that's the case, you may want to go into the settings (on your phone), and make sure that notifications from Messenger are selected to be on).

I almost bought this until I read one preview for it that said that it doesn't do 24/7 heart tracking (confirmed after 2 emails to Ticwatch, who tried to not give a direct answer). It is a limitation of Android Wear 2 I think (maybe there is an app to overcome it) and was a deal breaker for me

Correct, no 24 hr. heart rate monitoring on the TicWatch. A watch to possibly consider might be the Amazfit Pace for you.

Lidocain Larry it is designed to only read the heart rate during activity but it looks like you can get an app (very few to choose from Google searches) to force it to continuously read the HR and it may be ok for battery life...I went with a reasonably cheap refurbished vivoactive hr as I had one before, until something better comes along (androidwear 3 maybe)

SHINE my lg gwatch r was has a similar charger. Spring loaded brass pins. That touch the the conductive plates on the watch. The springs sometimes. Stick and won't change. The brass develops corrosion which effects Charging. These reasons are why I'm the fence ever this. Given the fact I have previous problems with my first tic 2 and modavi was less than helpful leaves me wondering of problems develop will they stands behind it. Mind you they did exchange the watch last March 2017 and never asked for the old one back. I've had no problems since thank God. Is worked flawlessly. Except only 10 to 12 hour battery life with very very minimum usage. They now boast 48hrs? We'll see. Honestly for the price it really is a good watch. I just can't decide. To but or not since my tic 2 works fine.

I'm guessing you got it from Amazon. Mobvoi cheated their kickstart supporter. Mobvoi decided to send all their stock to Amazon so they can sell more.
