I was inspired by one of my professors to take a black history course on quilting and the results of it is that at the end of the school time I turned around and made two quilts on my own. So I am deeply appreciated of all the wisdom to everyone here and gave me.

Great presentation. I hope to visit Gee's Bend in Alabama one day. A good book is Signs and Symbols: African Images in African-American Quilts by Maude Southwell Wahlman.

I would like to use this for a presentation in an arts class. I will be quoting you for most of the text. This was wonderful. I did see Butlers exhibit and it was breathtaking. I actually gasped at Four Little Girls.
