Nicely done, but the scale of adventure feels kinda whack, like they got to their destination too easily and we don’t get any hints to the value and magical nature of the shell. The pacing was weird in that we go right from leaving town to the ship graveyard and a fight with a ghost that could’ve been tighter and snappier. Also, the magic kinda appears out of nowhere. If the team didn’t have the time or resources to make a full on series I could’ve been satisfied with a montage of still images showing a few trials of their journey all bouncing in front of that energetic background music. You could show the boys crossing a rickety bridge, trying to read a map in the jungle, exploring a seaside cave with that flashlight wand, being chased from said cave by an army of crabs, roasting one of the crabs over a driftwood fire, the older sibling telling stories about their father as they rest under the stars (maybe using the flashlight wand the way people do when they tell scary stories). I really liked the piratical fantasy world that was being set up and I feel like I got cheated out of seeing more of it.

We tried to make it as understandable as possible with some hints but in this little time we unfortunately couldn't develop everything.
