CA, I’m sure this won’t surprise you but let me share my insight into the kind of man Shaw Grigsby is. He MC’d our Warriors on the Water tournament in NC. 150 boat tournament where we all took out active duty military personnel. Not only did he take time to make every Marine or Soldier who walked across the stage feel special and appreciated, when it was all over and everyone was gone, I see Shaw carrying bags of trash across the parking lot to help clean up. When I stopped to thank him for all head had done, in his humility he seemed almost embarrassed I said anything and of course thanked me when all I did was go fishing for a day. He definitely won my respect.

Love this series, CA. Mount Rushmore of Florida Fisherman, guides....wow, that's a tough call ! Flip Pallot, Mr Grigsby, CA Richardson and George Gozdz Not to slight anyone, but we've also fished with Captain Vic Tison, Jim Ross, Chard Starling and we want to fish with Kevin Faver. The sheer love of fishing shines through on these guys !

I use to watch His fishing show One more Cast. Shaw demonstrated a technique with a spinnerbait through matted grass. And ends up catching a big Tarpon on 12 pound test. He was just an amazing Fisherman!

Huge Shaw Grigsby fan. Met him a few times, once at Bassarama in Richmond, VA and at the TX series on the James River when they would fish and then race the boats. Very humble and down to earth man. You can tell he loves what he does for a living. I actually have the CAST magazine from his Redman All American win in 1984.

C.A. Just wanted to say that this episode of Tidewater Diaries with Shaw was perfect. I didn't grow up watching a ton of TV, and I did not follow bass fishing that closely as an adult, but to see a fellow Floridian, heck a fellow Central Floridian, captured like that was perfect. I kind of felt like I was in the room. What a great example of a life that is long well lived around Florida, the outdoors, family and friends and someone who is spending his life doing what he loves to do.

Good grief. You couldn’t show us his saltwater boat? Shaw is a legend. My favorite fishing pro of all time due to he talks normal down to earth and doesn’t try to act like he knows everything. Miss his show.
