In my experience there's loads of excellent racing in upper B/S lobbies, at least on PS4. Most incidents are just incidents and not malicious. However, it does become noticeably worse at the weekend.

Hey, Cheetack here, thanks for including my somewhat ancient clips! Funniest thing to me regarding 18:28 clip and the next one is that first shown punt was worth 4 seconds penalty and the other one, on lap 1 without room to go elsewhere was worth 5 seconds penalty.

I think if someone has been exceptionally smooth brained you need to pick your revenge punt very carefully. If you're gona do it. Make sure they end up somewhere they can not catch up with you. deep in the gravel or a pit lane wall might be options 😅

Something happened to the matching where SR doesn’t seem to matter anymore. It used to be if your SR was A or lower, you’d automatically end up in lower lobbies until you drove a few clean races. Now it’s completely normal to see A/A+ DR lobbies with multiple A, B, C SR ratings. Races were 1000% cleaner before this change.

In my opinion, only the players starting at high A rank and above can enjoy actual racing and expect some clean driving and awareness. From mid-A and below it is very difficult to rely on someone to give you enough space or not retaliate. GT penalty system is long overdue for a revamp.

You'd be surprised. I've put in many hours working to A rating (knocking on A+ door). You still see dirty driving in A, but it's very infrequent. I got dropped into B several times, and it can be bad.

This is exactly why i have lost any and all passion for playing Gran Turismo. Its absolutely pointless to try to race anyone clean when this is the result. You are in much higher lobbies Tidge. Thats why this seems to be such a surprise to you. It also helps that 99% of the time you are racing with people you are familiar with. As I have said before, the driver and safety ratings are much too easy to get and keep. Until that changes this kind of driving is going to be the result. PD is only concerned with player counts. Player QUALITY is meaningless. To me, the worst part of the whole thing is that for a little while on GT Sport PD had a very serviceable penalty system. But then the likes of Kie and others whined and complained so much on their KZbin channels that they couldn't race the way THEY wanted to PD eventually tried to 'fix' the system and completely failed. Then they either fired the guy who wrote the code for the one that worked or he or she just lost their notebook and could never get it back to what it was. After a few attempts PD seemingly gave up and for the rest of the life of GT Sport and on into 4+ years of GT7 this garbage is what we get.

Unfortunately...most of the time my faith in my fellow players was badly misplaced. The thing is, it really is just the usual suspects. I enjoy these videos as it really shows the poor state GT7 is currently in. This is a game and should be fun. This is also a game where 1 driver has many split second decisions to make. It does matter if you are a professional F1 driver to E rank GT7 driver sometimes people make the wrong choice. That being said there is also just dirty drivers. My main 4 issues with the game is this 1. There are clear dirty drivers in this game. Ones who deliberately take people out. 2. There are drivers who get tagged as dirty drivers who only make poor split second mistakes. Yes they should pull up but some dont cause they feel they were not in the wrong. 3. Players getting revenge attacks on deliberately dirty drivers which causes races to be a mess. 4. Players who think its ok to be a "Dirty Driver" vigilante. Sadly some of these being a players with youtube or twitch channels and quite often dont attack Deliberately Dirty Drivers but attack those who make poor split second decisions. This sometimes feeds off to that youtube owners followers who think it is ok to do the same thing. Its all just silly. Thanks for the videos mate!!!!

I wonder if some of the serial punters are doing it because they want to win races and the easiest way is to get a DR reset through losing SR, it's the only logical reason I can think of for some of these who are ramming every car they see. Personally I would remove the DR reset and make it so SR takes longer to recover instead to keep the lobbies more balanced.

@@tidgney Yes and the Problem with that, it was just one race for one week. bad drivers avoided those Races (kids excluded), and next week they're all back on. but it's showing that we would lose those bad drivers if it was something permanent in every online Race. if you could only get down to B and C Rating and see it yourself, it is really bad. I'm just casual with just 4-5h of driving every month. without practice I can't reach A or A+ like in GT Sport. but luckily you have this new series i like watching with the weekly plebs. that way at least you can see what's going on and I don't want to know how bad it is further down the ladder. uff... that was long but im very passionate about Racing ❤️❤️❤️

Last week was rough. On Race B, every race I was in there was someone who took the inside of T1 using the other racers as brakes. Every time. Then on the long downhill turn there was always one person bowling through the pack. Every time. I managed to keep my S rating but my DR dropped :/

3:20 vips and faja this was just 2 dirty drivers finding each other in the same lobby. Vips just knocks everyone out of the way and when he did it to faja it turned into a demolition derby. This push to pass behavior is out of control in the high C/ low B lobbies on the US severs.

We're gonna need more of a perm damage scale, engine repair and rigidity for the punters. Leave them broke in the game. Sport mode is for the circuit enthusiasts and lobbies are for the casuals. I think that's the best way PD can split us up.

Thanks Tidge, these videos are a great service and will hopefully embarrass unsportsmanlike drivers into improving their ways, lest they appear in one. Revenge punting appears widespread but when you consider there are 20,000-50,000 drivers doing the dailies, maybe it's not that bad. What I see mostly is mistakes from newer drivers causing accidents. The ping pong physics of the game doesn't help. I wonder how long grid starts in daily C will continue?

Love your content. Not sure PD can police drivers intent only outcome. Your Plebs / Muppets have ruined the dailies for me and is the main reason I don't participate in them. Because this is a game, you get players that see an opportunity but no nothing about racing and respect just reward. I find the problem worse when the driver is fast and becomes righteous. They ride your bumper to unsettle your car or thinks there is a gap and blames the leading driver of turning into them. Utter filth. Seams to be no longer the gentlemen sport. Cheers!

You're right in that alot of the incidents are racing incidents, or people thinking something is clean etc. I'd only ever report the purposeful punts, like no brakes into a corner or targeting. I agree you can't do anything where someone goes for a gap etc. it has to be absolutely clear otherwise nothing can really be done.

This dirty driving and punting are getting out of hand like this because of 3 things #1 believe it or not bullying is happening in game and streams i am a victim of it myself. They taunt you in game chat then come into your stream and lurk and watch you and wreck you. #2 because the game has made it profitable to be dirty even with pens because most of them still come in top 5 or even win and at worst they lose a bit of sr but thats it # 3 everyone who is victim to them type of stuff feels like Kaz and PD. Just dont care about us as long as they can collect a paycheck that's all they care about anymore and so as such drivers who fall victim to this kind of play are taking matters into their own hands if Gran Turismo and PD are not going to figure out a way to punish these people then the victims will do the punishing for them think about it no way to report bad drivers no way to send a clip in most people get a warning from PlayStation Network very vague that tells you you've broken the rules but not What rule you have broken how can we expect anyone to be gentlemanly in racing in this game when everyone feels like they don't care and they can get away with it? I mean I've even had people wreck me because they can't get around me in a race claim that I am moving under braking when really what I am doing is Trail braking but because they don't like it they feel entitled and that it's okay to ruin another person's race and then boast about it in game chat or in your stream

If using assists they should be cleaner. I'm old with arthritis and other health problems so I'm not as talented and fast as I was when I was young and no arthritis, so I do use assists, it actually makes me a much cleaner driver, although I do make mistakes still. But I'm usually the victim of others over aggressive or dirty driving. If they are using assists and driving dirty, they are just dirty or young kids who don't care about racing and think it's fun to wreck others. So as a player who uses assists I kind of agree with you. Using assists should make it easier not to wreck people but doesn't mean using assists makes them bad or dirty automatically but there sure are too many filthy drivers.

Kie isnt a dirty driver or punter, he is an aggressive driver who clips people. At worst doest give enough space. But doesn't in purpose punt people
